Neuseway Nature Park, Kinston, North Carolina

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Great park. WiFi wiped out by hurricane Matthew but I am sure they are working on it. The campgrounds are rustic but usually quiet for an inner city park. There is a huge playground for children as well as a Nature Center and Planetarium. Wonderful people, wonderful park. We will be back if travels bring us this direction again. We camped at Neuseway Nature Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Contentnea Creekside RV & Trail Park (Temp. Closed), Grifton, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful, well maintained Campground, very peaceful, right on the Contentnea river. The park is operated by the local police department and is very secure. I wish we could have stayed longer. The walking trail around the grounds is nice. It was a little confusing when we first got here. We thought one of the walking trails was an interior road. Try that in a 46 foot 5th wheel on a stormy day. We camped at Contentnea Creekside RV & Trail Park (Temp. Closed) in a Fifth Wheel.

St Petersburg / Madeira Beach KOA, St. Petersburg, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

They maintain a night security person at the only entrance into the park. They have a large variety of activities for all ages. There is a playground, pool (which is very hot in July), put-put course, 2 floating docks, 2 small laundry areas, (a 3rd facility is being remodeled). The park is beautiful, the staff are very friendly. The manager is a mean, angry woman who can make you wish you had stayed elsewhere. We will NOT be back! We camped at St Petersburg / Madeira Beach KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Eat at the Oyster Shucker ($30) & Crab Shack ($25 Tue&Thu). Both have wonderful AYCE snow crab. Fort Desoto beaches are beautiful for playing in the water; no so good for fishing.
