I-80 Lakeside Campground (formerly Lakeside Camping), North Platte, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very convenient to I-80. The roads are all dirt. The sites are grass (so to speak). It was barren and open. There were some trees around the lake and perimeter of the camp. We camped at I-80 Lakeside Campground (formerly Lakeside Camping) in a Motorhome.

Lions Club Park, Vermillion, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

1st 3 nights free, $5 donation after. Only 6 spots an it appeared 5 occupants were living there. Dirt and grass site with some shade. We stayed 2 nights. We were visiting family. Unfortunately the city of Vermillion is permitting transients to live in this park! We camped at Lions Club Park in a Motorhome.

Lewis and Clark Recreation Area, Yankton, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful location and definitely worth the fees and hassles of an electric only site. There is a dump station and available potable water. Check in and check out are virtually the same time so this creates a log jam for RVer's wanting to dump at the same time others want to fill. This is a hassle, but if you are aware of the pending wait, then all will be good. We camped at Lewis and Clark Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Cedar Shore Resort, Oacoma, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

When we made reservations we were told that a 10% AARP discount was available. Unfortunately we failed to bring it up again at registation, so we were charged full price. We went back to the office the next day to correct the error and were told it was to late, she couldn't fix it. We paid for 3 nights on check in. She couldn't even manage to correct the two remaining nights.

The campground maintenance is adequate. Grass was pretty shabby. Limited shade. Most of the sites are taken by long term renters. Sites are big. We camped at Cedar Shore Resort in a Motorhome.
