Route 66 RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

New RV resort. We stayed here for 2 days on our way back east. Gorgeous RV park, paved slabs with asphalt roads, immaculate. Fire rings, new wooden picnic tables, fenced doggy parks, laundry, propane for sale, beautiful bath house, rally center. Check in is very easy as the office is located in the RV park Free shuttle to casino which has several restaurants; we ate at Main Street. We camped at Route 66 RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

You must try breakfast at Main Street Restaurant (6am - 2pm); they serve large portions and it is absolutely delicious; and at registration we received coupons for $5.00 for the breakfast; a real bargain. Also top off your diesel or gas tanks out front; very reasonable prices.

James River State Park, Gladstone, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in Red Oak; it was beautiful. A great campground; this is a hidden gem. It is very quiet and all sites are large with a lot of space between sites. The roads are paved. The restrooms and showers were exceptionally clean. Our cell phones worked for outgoing and incoming calls. There is a very clean dump station at the entrance/exit of the campground. We enjoyed this park so well during our stay in July 2008, we returned in July 2009. We plan to visit at least once a year. We camped at James River State Park in a Motorhome.

North River Campground, Shawboro, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

First and foremost we imagine when you look up the meaning of Southern Hospitality we would find the names of this couple. The moment our group arrived; we were wholeheartedly welcomed; we felt right at home. We have been camping since 1978 and have not visited a better kept campground. On a scale of 1 - 10; we would rate this one a 12. It is gorgeous!! The grounds are immaculate, the sites are large with concrete patios, table and flowers: really nice. Host came by several times to ask if we needed anything, and sometimes just to chat. That was nice!!! We would highly recommend North River Campground to everyone; it is worth the trip. We will definitely return. We camped at North River Campground in a Motorhome.
