Butterfield RV Resort & Observatory, Benson, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This is a really nice clean park. The rock sites are all back-ins and they are level but the paved pull thru sites aren't level and seem really short so if you've got a long rig you may want to ask for a back in. The people in the office are really nice and there is a nice heated pool, hot tub, very nice clubhouse with everything you'd need or want, and nice laundry room with lots of washer's and dryer's. It would be nice if there were a sink in the laundry room and also a change machine. You can walk to Safeway, Ace Hardware, and a few restaurants within minutes which is really nice. You can also walk to Walmart. This is a very safe park too. The only downside are the trains! They are very loud and run 24/7 and blow their horns at all hours. We camped at Butterfield RV Resort & Observatory in a Motorhome.

Mirage RV Resort, Bullhead City, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This is a really nice RV park with nice facilities- the laundry room is the best I've seen in 2 and 1/2 years of travelling. Great pool and hot tub, clubhouse and exercise room. The sites are mostly back-in's but they are quite spacious. Full hook-up's and everything worked great. Really good cable but Wi-Fi only in clubhouse. We camped at Mirage RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Hacienda RV Resort, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park- clean, level sites, very good cable TV, Wi-Fi was hit or miss, trash picked up at your site everyday, nice and helpful staff, quiet except for freeway noise, and felt safe. They have a night patrol person. The negatives are no pool- an "RV Resort" should have a pool and boy it would've been nice in the sweltering heat. The laundry room was inadequate for a park this size with only 5 washer's, but 8 dryer's which was good, but the laundry room was kind of dirty. The lint screens in the dryer's were never cleaned and the area around the washer's was pretty gross- just not as clean as they should've been. I think the price of staying at this park is too high. $600-$800 per month plus electric, unless you get a back in site which is $450.00 per month. We were told none were available despite quite a few empty ones. Our electric was quite high since we were facing into the afternoon sun. A fellow camper said his electric was $325.00! There is a nice dog run but it gets flooded if it rains. Finally, at various times day and night, there was a God-awful stench wafting thru the park. It smelled like sewage mixed with a meat packing plant. It was really nauseating. I have no idea where it was coming from. And you would think at the high price of this park they would provide a picnic table. There are only about 5 or so in the entire park. We camped at Hacienda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

You are real close to Old Mesilla which has lots of shops and restaurants. You are also close to downtown Las Cruces which has the Farmer's Market and COAS bookstore. Ton's of places to shop and eat in all parts of Las Cruces.

Caballo Lake RV Park, Caballo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

My husband and I had been planning on visiting this RV park for several months. The website shows the lake being much closer to the RV park and when we arrived we were very disappointed to see the lake was quite far away. The owner stated we could walk to the lake but we'd have to watch out for snakes, including rattlesnakes. I estimated it was about a 1/2 mile walk to the lake. The owner started to seem irritated with us right away because we were expecting the lake to be close by so we could fish and swim. My husband asked if there was a beach area where we could swim and and the owner stated that "if we wanted a beach we should go to Galveston!" Despite her rudeness we were going to stay but changed our minds as she became more agitated with us. I would hate to see how she acted at the "Happy Hour" they have every evening! She said there were lots of rattlesnakes in the park and they had killed several in the past week. She also stated that we should not walk our pet on a leash because wild pigs and coyotes come into the park and if they didn't get our pet, the eagles would get them. She said a visitor had picked up a toy on the ground and there was a baby rattlesnake under it! The park itself is very nice looking but I would not recommend staying here due to the rude owner. I had read some other reviews on this park and other's had commented on how rude she was. We have stayed in many RV Parks and never have encountered a host who was so unfriendly. There is also no shade in the park so it can be very hot. As for Wi-Fi, after we had parked our rig, she stated that we "might" get Wi-Fi in that spot. So we moved to another space and she said we might get it there! We'd had enough so my husband told her we were not going to stay and she said "if you want a beach, go to Tahiti or the west coast!" Those "happy hours" they have every evening must be a real hoot with this rude woman as host. Take my advice and STAY AWAY from this place! We camped at Caballo Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mountain Road RV Park, Tucumcari, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is definitely the best RV park in Tucumcari. Great cable, good Wi-Fi that is available at your site 24/7, very nice laundry facility, nice restrooms that are cleaned every morning, nice helpful staff. The park is dirt and is on a slope so leveling is a bit tricky but it's quiet at night, despite being fairly close to I-40. We've stayed in other parks in Tucumcari and this is by far the best! We camped at Mountain Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cactus RV Park, Tucumcari, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a bare bones park in a less than desirable part of town. Dogs bark all night, cars speeding down Rte 66, and terrible Wi-Fi. Owner's will show you to your site but don't expect anything else from them. Even a sign in their "office" that says "don't ask questions". Real nice way to treat your guests. We camped at Cactus RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overnite RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This would be the best little RV park if it weren't for the location. The road noise from I-40 and 335 are awful and go 24/7. Then there are the passenger jets flying right over the park on most days and that includes very loud fighter jets. When the wind is blowing in a certain direction, you can smell the stench of a meat packing plant and it makes you sick to your stomach. Also you can smell the feed lots on some days, depending on the wind. On the plus side, there are lots of nice tree's, flower's, and a nice pool open from Memorial Day till Labor Day. The office staff are all nice and the laundry facilities are good. If you could pick up this park and put it in a quiet location, it would be near perfect. We camped at Overnite RV Park in a Motorhome.
