Everyone in the office was very friendly. Everything was super clean. Spaces are very roomy. Fitness center had adequate equipment like new condition. Tips for other Campers:

Sites towards the back have beautiful mountain views. About an hour to Monterey and Carmel. 1 1/2 hours to Big Sur (part of PCH was closed from the south due to floods and fires. We drove in from Carmel). 20-30 minutes to vineyards. Hahns had a nice view, and you could bring a picnic lunch. The RV park also offered some complimentary tasting coupons. Pinnacles National Park was about 30 minutes and was very nice. RV park is conveniently located right off 101.

Little River RV Park & Campground, Fort Payne, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Owners are not on site full time but self check-in is easy. You can pick any site you want. Which is great except if you have a big camper and no large site is available. Our 42' fit fine. Road coming in is winding and narrow but doable. We camped at Little River RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Small town with not much going on. Great museum at the railroad. We went to see Little River falls, scenic hwy had beautiful overlooks. Nice swimming hole Martha's falls. Steep and rocky with no rails so must be careful. Drove to DeSoto falls through Mentone. Falls are small in summer. Must be great In the fall.

Make sure you enter on Yahoola. Other entrance is too tight for rv. If you're a wine lover there are many vineyards. Monteluce is gorgeous and I heard Kaya is nice. Cute downtown. Bourbon St. Restaurant was good. About 1 hour to Ellijay (tubing in Cartacay with some Rapids). I think Helen is also about 1 hour.

Homosassa River RV Resort (formerly Turtle Creek), Homosassa Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Mostly full-timers. Our site was nothing fancy, but easy pull-through. Pool was nice. Kid pooped in the pool when we were here. I thought a pool had to close for several days to sanitary reasons, but it was open later that day. (We never went back in). Laundry room was clean, but also open to the public. I never had to wait for a machine. They also had an ice machine which was convenient. Great location. Close the great marina area with casual dining/bars/music. Great if you like fishing, kayaking. Manatee area. Might stay here again because of the location and price. We camped at Homosassa River RV Resort (formerly Turtle Creek) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

1/2 hour to Weeki Wachee (cheesy mermaid show, but fun). Kind of overpriced for what they offer. Boat ride was cancelled because the captain was stuck in traffic and they didn't have a replacement available. Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park is worth a visit. Great for fresh seafood and cheap beer prices!

Wekiwa Springs State Park, Apopka, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

One of the few state parks we found that could accommodate our 42' 5th wheel, and had full hook-ups. We had a back in site but were able to maneuver in with enough room for our truck to fit. Park and site was nice and wooded. Site was shaded with trees. The firepit also was used as a BBQ. Tubing within the park. Bring your own tubes and save on renting. Bring chairs/blanket to sit after tubing and a cooler for food/drinks. They also had a snack bar. We were able to put our own kayak in for free. They also rent kayaks and paddleboards. Nice park. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Wekiwa Springs State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to Rock Springs/Kelly Park where you can also go tubing. Make sure you arrive when the park opens in the summer. They only allow a limited number of guest parking. Mt. Dora, a nice place to visit, is 25 minutes away. One hour from Orlando but feels like a world away!

Toby's RV Resort (Active Adult park), Arcadia, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Our reservation was made by phone. There isn't anyone in the office when we arrived on the weekend. Our paperwork was in a box by the office. This park has mostly full-timers with an area by the entrance for overnighters. We felt the roads to turn into the spots are too narrow and there are drop-offs on each side of the road. The back tire of our rig partially landed in a gully when we turned. The original site given, was a grassy spot that would get muddy in the rain. We have a 42' 5th wheel and needed a harder surface. I called to request a different spot and was told there was an additional charge for a premium (concrete) spot ($4.00, I believe). We changed to the new spot. The park was nice with a small, but clean pool. The bathrooms and clubhouse could use some updating. Laundry room was nice and right next to the pool (which was convenient). No wi-fi free or paid. Convenient location. Close to Peace River and Wal-Mart. We had cows for neighbors in the pasture behind our site. We camped at Toby's RV Resort (Active Adult park) in a Fifth Wheel.
