Jack's Gulch - Roosevelt National Forest, Rustic, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

A gem of a National Forest campground. The only Nat.For. campground in the area to provide electric hookups. Very scenic, very quiet, many hiking trails in the area and several major trails leaving from the campground. Very little use we believe due to the steep, 6 mile gravel road to get to the park. Despite this, we saw many large rigs arrive during our week stay. Don't let the gravel road deter you. The first mile is the steepest part and after that you are afforded with amazing views of the Poudre Mt area as you approach the park. The camp hosts were great. We had a problem with our dogs barking nonstop the first day we left for a hike and they were very professional when they brought it to our attention. The park is immaculate and the toilets were kept very clean. Group and equestrian areas are also available. We camped at Jack's Gulch - Roosevelt National Forest in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Explore further down Pingree Park Road toward the CSU Mountain campus. The views of snow on the mountains in the summer time is amazing, and we spotted a moose grazing on our first day.

Overnite RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very convenient, friendly, clean, and accommodating. We arrived after hours, followed the clear instructions for selecting a site, and pulled in with no problem. All sites were pull-throughs, and the space between sites was wider than most rv parks. Plenty of trees and shade. LARGE dog walking area and separate dog 'park'. Some sites even have private gated areas in the site for your pet, at NO extra cost. There were some permanent residents scattered here and there, but it was not obvious. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Overnite RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
