Hagerstown / Antietam Battlefield KOA, Williamsport, Maryland

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

This is an old park. The spaces are tight and the back-ins are difficult to get into. A section of road to the park, and most of the roads in the park are abysmal. It is w-a-a-a-y overpriced, even for a KOA. On the plus side, they have decent cable TV, and good water pressure. We camped at Hagerstown / Antietam Battlefield KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you go from I-70 exit 4, there is a small home-grown produce stand with fresh, just-picked-from-the-garden vegetables. Walmart is about 15 minutes away and there is a Pilot truck stop at the I-70 exit. Diesel is about 50 cents a gallon cheaper in Maryland than Pennsylvania

Port Huron Township RV Park, Port Huron, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

The park was very clean and the hosts were very nice. We had easy satellite access... there was no cable. The wifi was very good and we had good cell service. We had a tricky back-in due to an inconveniently placed bricked flower enclosure, but getting out was easy. The utilities were good and easily accessed. We camped at Port Huron Township RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cobourg East Campground, Grafton, Ontario

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We had an end site which was a bit muddy, but they'd had a lot of rain, and without that, the site would have been fine. We had no cell service. The wifi was spotty, but the camp host was extremely helpful in trying to get me on. The have a robust book trading library. There are a lot of roads for walking around the park. DirecTV worked fine. We camped at Cobourg East Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Camp Hither Hills, Ottawa, Ontario

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

On the plus side, the water pressure is good, and it's one of the few parks in the area with 50 amp service and sewer. The roads are in pretty good shape and very navigable. On the minus side, the wifi is horrible and the router needed to be recycled often but the park managers didn't keep up with it, so there was a lot of dead time. Also, we were able to connect smart phones to the wifi (when it was up), but not the laptops or tablets. We camped at Camp Hither Hills in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This park is right outside Ottawa. Walmart is about 15 minutes away. If you go downtown, park your vehicle at the Walmart and take a bus downtown. Downtown is a driving and parking nightmare. The racetrack is about 10 minutes away and they have a fabulous (quantity- AND quality-wise), though pricey ($19.95 CDN) buffet. You can sit at your table and watch, and bet on, the trotters. There is also a casino there with no table games but a HUGE selection of slot machines.

Fox Hill RV Park & Campground, Baraboo, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We were first assigned to a site which was way off level, but, upon request, they quickly relocated us to a much better site. The roads are bit tight but for most RVs this will not be an issue. Our site was a pull through, however, because of the tight roads, it was more convenient to back in. The wifi was good. The utility hook-ups were convenient. We camped at Fox Hill RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Korte's Checkers Welcome Campground, Welcome, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This park is immaculate. The owner is friendly and is always working on something around the park. The site was easy in-easy out. The owner directed us to our site and made sure we knew where everything was. The wifi was good. There were some trees but satellite was accessible. The utilities were convenient. We camped at Korte's Checkers Welcome Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Very casual. You choose your site... some have sewer and some don't. Sites are not numbered. The park has a great "feel". The roads are easily navigable and the sites are large and easy to get into and out of. Sprint cell is on roaming. The utilities are easily accessible and the water pressure is awesome. We camped at Hill's RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Three Flags RV Park, Black Hawk, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. There are only five 50 amp sites but if it's not hot, 30 amp is more than adequate. The park is wide open and the roads are easily navigable. The utilities are easily accessed. The water pressure is low, but adequate. The wifi is very good. There is a half mile gravel road into the park but it is in good shape. The staff is friendly and helpful. We camped at Three Flags RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Peter D's RV Park, Sheridan, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Owner is extremely conscientious about keeping his park immaculate. He is always working to keep the park nice and, though very polite, is not shy about letting RVers know when they are bending the rules. It makes for a very attractive park. The sites are a bit close together, but the views are fabulous. The water pressure is good and the utilities are easily accessed. The roads are very navigable. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Motorhome.
