Fallon RV Park (Military FamCamp), Fallon, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We got in very late and were not able to check in, so we just chose a site and hooked up. Did not like the water hook up. It was in a hole, some had spider webs, it was facing upward and flowing slowly but it worked fine. Very friendly when I made my reservation. We camped at Fallon RV Park (Military FamCamp) in a Travel Trailer.

Lemoore Naval Air Station Campground (Military FamCamp), Lemoore NAS, California

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice base and campground. No trees at campsites but a decent amount of space between sites. The rec center has a lot to offer: movies, video games, swimming pool, tours. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again if in the area. We camped at Lemoore Naval Air Station Campground (Military FamCamp) in a Travel Trailer.

Check in was friendly. Park is on edge of golf course. They have a grill at the pro shop area where you can eat. Restrooms and showers were clean. Lots are near each other. Site surface is asphalt and gravel. We camped at Monterey Pines RV Campground (Military FamCamp) in a Travel Trailer.

San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA, Petaluma, California

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this place. This is a great place if you have children, great if you don't but you won't use a lot of the amenities. Petting zoo, climbing wall, bounce pillow, pool, hot tub, playground, arcade, extensive store (including local wines), an outside movie by the pool every evening and a pancake breakfast on the Sunday morning we were there. They have something going every week in the summer. We took the San Francisco tour which was awesome. The tour guide does a great job and takes you places you can't go to on the big buses and has great background having grown up there. We can't say enough good about this tour. All the staff we interacted with were friendly. The only thing that could be better is warmer, sunnier weather but they can't control that. We have already recommended this place to friends who have stayed there and liked it as well and we would definitely stay again. We camped at San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to have a jacket and sweater and dress in layers. When the fog comes in in the late afternoon, it gets cold until it burns off mid morning and then gets warm.

Tonopah RV, Tonopah, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean sites, nice landscaping, no grass. Long spaces with decent amount of space between sites. Full hookups, free wi-fi and cable. We got here late and they have self check in, so we had no contact with the staff. Laundry was clean and had lots of washers and dryers. Great alternative to the only other RV parks in town. We camped at Tonopah RV in a Travel Trailer.

Yosemite RV Resort, RVC Outdoor Destination (formerly Yosemite South , Coarsegold, California

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

The grounds and amenities are pretty good. The pool is great, the clubhouse is in remodel and supposed to be done Sept 9. Most of the sites are very tight with no picnic tables or hang out area. They are about to do some re-grading; hopefully they will put more space between sites. We had a hard time parking our tow vehicle nearby. Everyone we encountered was very friendly. They enforced quiet hours to the cabins nearby. We camped at Yosemite RV Resort, RVC Outdoor Destination (formerly Yosemite South in a Travel Trailer.

Antelope Island State Park - Bridger Bay Campground, Syracuse, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed this campground. Great place to float in the lake though you have to walk a ways because of the drought. One of the most amazing sunsets I've ever seen and it lasted a couple hours. Sites were spacious with covered picnic tables. No hookups available. Price includes entrance to the park. We camped at Antelope Island State Park - Bridger Bay Campground in a Travel Trailer.
