The contact was pleasant with the office, although confusing and unsure of decisions without checking with owner. Both cabins rented contained a powder insecticide throughout the floors. One cabin contained a large amount of the white powder. It clouded up off the floor as you walked in. The deluxe cabin was void of shower and sink usage due to water issues. My family crowded into a travel trailer rather than staying in the deluxe cabin. No reduction in rental fees was offered from the owner. Christian based environment claimed here. Doing the right thing and money are clearly separate issues here. We stayed Fri. and Sat. By Sat afternoon 3 of the 4 mens toilets were out of usage, and no toilet paper, ditto for Sun. morning. There is no staff working to contact. Staffing the facility would aid greatly. The owner does intermitent walkthroughs you might be lucky to catch him. Numerous times the office had an open sign with no one attending. The owner walks around with a full size semiautomatic handgun stuck in his rear pocket. This gun is unsecured and not in a holster. Really how unsafe is this. If you are going to wear it secure it. What message does he send, expecting trouble, or detouring complaints? A large amount of power equipment in the covered pavilion rendering it unusable to campers. My site was supposed to be a pull through site, it was separated length wise by a faintly spray painted orange line, thus separating it into two spots. This was not a pull through spot. I spoke with seasonal campers who advised me I needed to pull up or, the owner would tell me to leave. My family and friends will no longer visit this campground. I heard similar comments from other campers. Respectfully. We camped at Frontier Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Waynesville great place to walk and good food. The wildlife areas are close and cover a large area.
