Anchor Down RV Resort, Dandridge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

This was the first all 10 Woodall rated park we ever visited. All concrete pads (jack pads required), some fireplaces in addition to fire rings, all sites are beautifully placed with views of the Smokies and a huge lake. Beautiful amenities including pool located on a lower lever overlooking the lake. Great for adults or families with kids. We would camp here again in a heartbeat. If you want to visit Knoxville, be aware that you're 25 miles to the east with interstate access. Follow their website directions rather than the GPS. The road in is a two lane country road and may make you wonder the first time on it, but it was no problem and was the best way in.

We paid for a higher priced site as we covered one holiday weekend night and that was the only site we could get. For such weekends, book early. Next time we would take a non-fireplace site which are just as good. We camped at Anchor Down RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nashville KOA, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Huge park near Opryland. Many pull-thru sites. We stayed on a gravel site, but in a future visit would pay a little extra for the premium concrete sites which seem a little wider and have a few more amenities. Having said that, the gravel sites would rate an 8. We camped at Nashville KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Grayline tours picks up at the park which is a plus if you like to use them to get the "lay of the land." Their civil war tour is fabulous!
