Bar H Bar RV Park, Seminole, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This park is perfect for an overnighter on our way home. Opted for the concrete site. Very level and easy to get into. You check in at the Convenience Store. Had dinner at the Roadhouse Diner. Pretty good food. They need to fill in the gravel near sites 9 & 8 near the park exit. We camped at Bar H Bar RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Highly recommend a tour of Palo Duro Canyon and stay for the outdoor musical Texas. It starts about 8 pm and goes to 10:30 with an intermission. You can buy tickets for the dinner and show online if you like.

Tucumcari KOA, Tucumcari, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

It was okay for an overnight stop. The grass needed to be mowed between the sites. Laundry room was conveniently located in the office area. The dryers were quite large but you have to stay there and feed it a quarter which is good for 5 minutes. We camped at Tucumcari KOA in a Motorhome.

Very nice park with some new long pull-thru sites. They have a large dog park. Just what we needed for a stop-over on our way home. Friendly and helpful staff. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

Fort Beale RV Park, Kingman, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice well kept park. Has some shade. Lots of room in pull thru sites. Lady in office was very helpful with directions to Visitor's Center. Had a small dog park at back of property. Be careful when you exit I-40 and turn onto Metcalfe Rd by the Chevron station. The adobe style building is the office around the corner. Don't over shoot it (like we did) or you'll have to go around again. We camped at Fort Beale RV Park in a Motorhome.

Shady Lane RV Camp, Barstow, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed there for 2 nights while going to Death Valley NP. The owner was very helpful. When we got back to the park and found our motorhome was 90 deg. inside. They recommended So-Ca Truck service that also works on RVs. The tech came out after finishing another job and replaced a breaker. By that time it was 104 deg. inside and 114 outside. We were thankful the rear air kept us cool. PS you might not want to go to Death Valley in the middle of June! We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Motorhome.

Yosemite RV Resort, RVC Outdoor Destination (formerly Yosemite South , Coarsegold, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this park because of the quality of their sister park in Arkansas. Was disappointed that the sites were so close together and interior roads were tight. You have to disconnect the tow before being escorted down a steep hill to get to your site. The dog park is full of grass burrs so had to groom the dog every time she went out. The laundry was clean but could use an air conditioner. Windows were open but hot inside. There were quite a few of mature trees in the park that provided some shade. I think this was a former KOA. You can tell they have made lots of improvements but need to do more. It's a little pricey but pretty close to Yosemite NP. We camped at Yosemite RV Resort, RVC Outdoor Destination (formerly Yosemite South in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We booked a 4 hour tour of Glacier Point via Yosemite Tours and glad we did. Roads are very steep and lots of hairpin curves. Our driver was amazing and knowledgeable about the area. Not much room for autos to park. Well worth it.

Sky Valley Resort , Desert Hot Springs, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Disappointed! This is a beautiful park with 1,o3o spaces yet the majority are park models. We squeezed into the spot they gave us (had to unhook the tow first) and there were no other RVs on the east side. Felt really out of place. Drove down to their restaurant and had a burger. We were the only ones there. Guess I should have made sure it said "RV" Resort. We camped at Sky Valley Resort in a Motorhome.

Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West, Goodyear, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice and large park. Sites were plenty big enough. There were quite a few sites that were seasonal and had some residents that have been there awhile, however, there were no "trashy"rigs. The park has lots of mature orange trees that provide shade. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay there again if in the area. We camped at Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West in a Motorhome.

OK RV Park, Holbrook, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for one night on our way to Phoenix. Nice long gravel pull thru sites. Did not have to unhook the tow. Only complaint is having to walk the dog in the area behind the green row. There is zero shade along the fence and no grass. Would be nice to have a fenced in dog park centrally located. We camped at OK RV Park in a Motorhome.

Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park, Santa Rosa, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed here twice but only because of convenience but probably won't stay again. The pull-thru spaces are very tight and hard to get into with the tow. It would be nice if they would escort you to your site. It's okay for one night. We camped at Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wanderlust Crossings RV Park, Weatherford, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful immaculate park. Lots of manicured grass between the sites. They have a cascaded water feature at the entrance and at the end of most streets. Lots of room on concrete pull thru pad so no need to disconnect the tow. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. This park would definitely be my first choice if I am in the area again. We camped at Wanderlust Crossings RV Park in a Motorhome.
