Prairie Creek Reservoir, Selma, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed fairly close to comfort station, and found it a busy traffic site. Well shaded, and good water, trash removal, had picnic tables and campfires are allowed. Most sites are pretty well graveled and reasonably easy to level a camper. They have added water view cabins, and most of the park provides for easy fishing access, and water view.

Friendly staff, well security patrolled. Really need to improve the sewer dump station. It would really make it a better park, if they installed sewer connections and upgraded the restroom and shower facilities. We camped at Prairie Creek Reservoir in a Travel Trailer.

Expect to do laundry, shopping, and eating out elsewhere, as there are no sewer hook ups, and no laundry facilities. No real eateries or shopping except for Muncie, or New Castle.

S & H Campground, Greenfield, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Holiday period, brown outs and power outages. Hot water took forever to "warm up", very tight spaces, and dangerous exit at pond edge almost lost a trailer into the lake/pond.

Nice looking park, but very iffy when it comes to what works or not, and laundry was not effective.

The site was suppose to be back-in, due to muddy conditions, but was too tight to do that. But was able to do a pull through in 4 wheel drive, with the help of the manager guiding through the water and mud.

Friendly enough staff, but park is just old and needs a lot of attention. We camped at S & H Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Greenfield provided good shopping, great laundry over what the park provided, goodly selection of eateries, and was close enough to be convenient.
