Amarillo Ranch RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with the other comments, no sense in repeating. The work camper staff are quite friendly and helpful. They only allow one Passport America night, we used Good Sam discount for subsequent nights. It should be noted that there was an "electric surcharge" of $2 or $3 per night (can't remember which) under the Passport America rate of $15. Not a real big deal. They should take the lead with other parks and provide free WiFi, instead of charging by the day. We would come back if passing through the area. We camped at Amarillo Ranch RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Miners Camp RV Park and Rock Shop, Murfreesboro, Arkansas

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Staff/owner very unfriendly. Location of hookups require extensions for water and/or electric. Circuits always popping off. Not well kept up. Alledged wifi worked for about 5 minutes during 3 day stay. No cable tv or even on-air channels available. We camped at Miners Camp RV Park and Rock Shop in a Motorhome.

Fall Creek Resort, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

I am in total agreement with the last review, except for the fact that now MOST of this nicer sites are out of commission! My guess is that it will be bulldozed to build new condos! That would explain the totally inadequate signage. Would not even consider staying here again. We camped at Fall Creek Resort in a Motorhome.

Sites were level and nice enough. Not a bunch of amenities, but good for a night or two. Folks in the office were nice. We camped at Antelope Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Completely overpriced for what amounts to a Wa-lMart with hookups! I agree with the other reviewers. We camped at Grand Sierra Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed one night, would not honor the Coast to Coast rate. Must "black out" the entire summer! Unkept, dusty, not a nice place. We camped at Tahoe Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Desert Rose RV Park, Fernley, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Nice staff, nice park and a welcome relief from the RV Parks in Reno. Well worth the 30 mile drive if you feel you MUST go to Reno! New casino in the area, Hwy 50 has had improvements, along with a "sound wall" for the park! Quiet and nice. Will come again when passing through. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Reno KOA at Boomtown, Verdi, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $45.00

I agree with the other comments posted. The weather was HOT, the asphalt Hotter and the park's breakers kept going off. We cut our stay short; we will not return. We camped at Reno KOA at Boomtown in a Motorhome.

Walker River Resort, Smith Valley, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

My husband and I thought we would give this place another chance. We do like the location and the park has potential. The dirt and electrical are still issues. Very Hot at triple digits and your a/c keeps popping off. The workers still need to try to have some sense of customer service. Maybe if we were able to come during the week there may be less MX riders, dirt and noise. We camped at Walker River Resort in a Motorhome.

VERY over priced! We had reservations and the rate doubled from the time we booked. We didn't stay. Looked pretty tight for bigger rigs. Nice location, they need to work on the property. We camped at Zephyr Cove Resort RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

I would call this a "mobile" Mobile Home Park. I would venture a guess that 75% of the folks are Lake Tahoe workers seeking cheap accommodations. I don't really care for Rottweilers, but the have dozen or so seemed somewhat sedate. OK for a one nighter! We camped at Comstock Country RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fernley RV Park, Fernley, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Don't know the rate, we were passing through. I wonder if we pulled into the same "park" as the last reviewer??? Ours was full of permanent residents, loose and nasty rottweilers and void of anyone that would assist us. We stayed at the Desert Rose, up the road...no comparison. We camped at Fernley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Circus Circus RV Park (formerly Las Vegas / Circus Circus KOA), Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Not sure of the rate, we drove in and then out. Saw other folks sweltering because of lack of A/C. Too much load on their system. Better off at WalMart! Don't care for casinos, we were just heading home! We camped at Circus Circus RV Park (formerly Las Vegas / Circus Circus KOA) in a Motorhome.
