Tonto National Forest / Houston Mesa Campground, Payson, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground. When we arrived our site was freshly raked and clean. Bathrooms clean, but we are very disappointed that the showers were closed. We were told that there was an "incident" that morning and are closed for the weekend. We stayed through Monday and no work was done on showers. Host said they couldn't find anyone to fix over weekend. Something about antifreeze leaking into shower water, also none of the water fountains worked. Might consider staying again if the showers worked. Also the site to bathroom ratio is bad, long ways for restrooms mostly due to campers bathing in bathrooms. We camped at Tonto National Forest / Houston Mesa Campground in a Tent.
