Cove Oceanfront Campground, Parker's Cove, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Oceanfront sites have a very picturesque view of the Bay of Fundy but are very close together. Our picnic table was right next to the next campsite sewage.

Park was very well run, maintained and clean. However only one shower for each sex. (Until the office opens at 9am - when they open up the pool shower for use.)

They charge a small recycling fee, which I have never seen before and don't understand. Nova Scotia is a province that has deposits on all bottles: so by leaving your bottles, you are already giving them your deposit money. So why an additional fee?

We had a 20 foot rig and could barely fit rig and vehicle on the site. Most other trailers were longer and there was no room for their vehicle on the site. We camped at Cove Oceanfront Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Ovens Natural Park, Riverport, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very picturesque setting. Our site had an ocean view and our trailer door faced onto a natural bush lot - where we spotted deer one night. You can hear the ocean waves from our site, and unfortunately, the petting zoo rooster at 4:30am.

I would describe our site as well spaced field camping. Our site could have been more level.

Nice restaurant with nightly local musical entertainment - quite enjoyable.

Like the parks focus on maintaining the natural aspect of this 180 acre park. Nice shoreline to explore - including the Ovens Sea Caves. We camped at Ovens Natural Park in a Travel Trailer.

Maplewood Acres RV Park, Bainsville, Ontario

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Finally a campsite with elbow room! Our pull through site was level, about 40 feet wide, with nice tree cover. Nice to have some space and some privacy. Tired of RV parks where the next trailer's slide out is almost under your canopy and you feel like a sardine.

Not here with children, but this park is well equipped with a children's playground, playing field and a large pirate boat!

Park is well maintained and owners are very pleasant and helpful!

Above said – if train whistles in the night bother you, I would avoid this park as there is an active rail line a few kilometers away. We camped at Maplewood Acres RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
