Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground, Apple Valley, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground close to the cities. We have a daughter that lives up here and this many be our new goto campground. Not a lot of shade for trailers. Lots are very close, sunny and open. Site surface is gravel and features a fire ring and picnic table. We camped at Lebanon Hills Regional Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Holiday RV Park, North Platte, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Nice enough for an overnight stop. Not somewhere I would want to take the family for a long weekend. People were friendly but sites were cramped and restrooms were not that clean.

Some road noise but that is to be expected based on location, so no problem there. Not really anywhere to walk the dogs. They said dog walk area is out front but it is just the drainage ditch between the road and their lot.

WiFi was out while we where here. They said it would be back shortly as they were working on it but it was still down the next morning when we packed up.

Still a good stop for overnight and we will consider staying again if we are in the area. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Des Moines West KOA, Adel, Iowa

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Really enjoyed our overnight here. A couple small fenced in areas for the dogs was nice. Looks like a lot for kids to do as we saw a lot of them running around having fun. Everyone we talked to was in a good mood and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Makes for a fun place to stay.

Owners were very helpful and really wanted to make sure you were happy. Anytime we are in the area looking for an overnight, this will be the stop. Also can see doing a long weekend. It is about 250 miles from us but would be worth it if we can get the grand kids to come with. We camped at Des Moines West KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

St Paul East RV Park, Woodbury, Minnesota

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Owner was very rude and treated me, and others like we had never done this before. Was his way or leave. Actually saw him yelling at someone telling them just go get your money back and leave. (They were trying to back in and he didn't like the way they were doing it.)

No satellite reception available in most sites and water pressure was not good. Place was clean from what I could see. Site was tight for trailer and truck. Where he said we could walk the dogs is where he was putting all the tent campers. Not sure I would want to tent camp in the dog walk area but it is what they are doing.

Locations is great for access to the cities. Heard it will be closed down. If new ownership was to take over I might consider going back. I would highly recommend they rename the place so others don't think it is run the same way. We camped at St Paul East RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
