Silver Star RV Park, Vernon, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

If you like the sound/horn of freight trains, this RV park is for you. If you like nightly road construction at the park entrance, this RV park is for you. If you like hearing two helicopters overhead at 4:45 a.m., this RV park is for you. If you enjoy the smell of a porta potty in the washroom, this RV park is for you. The roads were a muddy mess following the rain. It was difficult and dangerous to make a left or right turn out of the park because of the massive construction. Lots of long term residents. Near lots of shopping, restaurants, and gas stations. We camped at Silver Star RV Park in a Motorhome.

Golden Eco-Adventure Ranch & Campground, Golden, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

The office assigned us a space that was still occupied at 3 p.m....We were given another space. There is power and water only with a nearby dump station. The restrooms and showers were clean but the park wants guests to remove shoes before entering the restroom/shower facilities. So you have to walk inside with your socks or barefeet to use the restroom which I found to be disgusting and unsanitary. Nobody wants to walk barefoot or with socks on either a wet floor or with drops of urine on the floor near the urinal. We camped at Golden Eco-Adventure Ranch & Campground in a Motorhome.

Leadville RV Corral, Leadville, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This park is run down and populated with many full-time residents. Each site is gravel. Park is on a down slope. There was cable tv, sewer, 30/50 amp, and water. We enjoyed meeting the owner of the RV Park (very friendly). I wish there was soap in the restrooms. Pay showers too. We camped at Leadville RV Corral in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We visited Leadville and walked the main street area. There are several gas stations, a Safeway and Hardware store about 1 mile from the RV park, a Shopko, several pizza and burger establishments in town, nearby lakes, etc. We drove to Aspen, CO, which was a spectacular drive to and from Leadville. There are mine tours, a museum synogogue, and a train tour. The town is at 10,152 feet. I would stay again.

Sundance RV Park, Cortez, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is an exceptionally clean and well-maintained RV park. Restroom, laundry, and shower facilities were sparkling clean. 24/7 laundry and restrooms with security code. My children loved the clean showers. We stayed in a 30 foot Class C MH with tow vehicle. Our site was very wide and literally could have been two RV sites. We camped at Sundance RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Mesa Verde National Park was 9 miles from the RV park. Lots of shopping including a Safeway and Walmart within one-half mile of Sundance RV park. Easy in and out of the RV park. Many RV accessible gas stations in the area. Great Mexican Restaurant down the road, next to the Days Inn.

Pacific City RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails, Cloverdale, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We are Thousand Trails members. This park has extremely poor roads. There were too many unavailable sites that have been leased to people whose leased sites were unoccupied. Too many people left after 12 p.m., the official checkout time and the staff did not enforce the check out time. So, we were unable to get a sewer site, but still a nice elec/water site near the restroom. We camped at Pacific City RV & Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Yreka RV Park, Yreka, California

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

In CA, a few miles south of the Oregon border on Interstate 5, is the Yreka RV Park in Yreka, CA. This is right off the freeway, wide gravel sites, exceptionally clean restrooms, easy in and out, cable tv, with FHU and very long pull thru sites. Our 30 foot Class C and tow vehicle fit with room to spare. Walmart and Raleys are within 3 miles, along with nearby gas stations and plenty of eating establishments. This is a hidden gem RV park for the Interstate 5 traveler. We paid $36 for one night with Good Sam discount. The restrooms are immaculately clean. There is a dump station and drive-up propane service. There is also free coffee and morning muffins. Very nice park for a stopover or more. We camped at Yreka RV Park in a Motorhome.
