Monarch Spur RV Park & Campground, Salida, Colorado

In the mountains, pine trees, and a creek nearby. Was a nice place to get away from it all. We camped at Monarch Spur RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Fountain Creek RV Park, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

People rate this campsite for what it is not. It is not a campsite in the woods with pine trees. This site was clean and nicely shaded. Dirt roads with dirt sites, all well maintained. Picnic table on concrete slab. Had no problem getting my 35' rig in a spot, with room to park my truck in front or back. It is close to the highway, so there is road noise. However, it is also short walk to McDonald's, Taco Bell, a couple other places. Ruby's BBQ across the highway. There is a walking path and creek that runs along the outside of the grounds. Our site was shaded with large shade trees. It worked quite well for us as a base camp while we went other places. Price was reasonable and pets are welcome. It was a nice quiet place to get away from home and electronics. We camped at Fountain Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

South Meadows, Woodland Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $7.00
Overall Rating:

In the pine trees in the mountains. There are places to fish, hike and 4x4 nearby. You can camp in tents as well. We really like the quiet atmosphere up there and have visited many times. We camped at South Meadows in a Travel Trailer.
