Rasar State Park, Concrete, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is so beautiful! I enjoyed walking around the meadow hayfield and taking pictures of the mountains. The trails are great for those of us that don't really enjoy strenuous hikes. We went mid June and it rained on us quite a bit, but we made sure to venture out every time the rain let up. The bathrooms were very clean and I believe I paid 75 cents for 3 minutes which was long enough for me. The camp host sells firewood at his site. We camped at Rasar State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Quinault Marina & RV Park, Ocean Shores, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The ocean view spots are just steps from the beach. (The other rows are $40). This park has full hookup (sewer, water, electricity). Not all sites have a picnic table, so you have to get there early if you want to snag a table and fire pit. The RV spots are very close together. My husband said that he was able to get quite a few channels on the TV and we were also able to get cell reception with Verizon. The wireless connection was good enough to serve as a personal hotspot. The beach was far better than the beach in the town of Ocean Shores (no cars driving around).

The campground does have free showers in the bathrooms, but I didn't use the showers. I also noticed they have a laundry room, but I couldn't tell you if they work or not. Also, your first impression of the campground is not the best because it is right next door to a boarded up hotel. The entrance to the campground is in serious need of some TLC to be a little bit more inviting. I honestly almost asked my husband to turn around and take me back to town, but I'm so glad that I didn't. I loved being steps from the beach and hearing the waves crash all night. We camped at Quinault Marina & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Highly recommend dining at Bennett's Fish Shack in Ocean Shores. The food was super! The line to order your food in the main area is very long, but if you sit in the bar area, you can order your food in there and they will serve you.
