Joseph H. Stewart State Recreation Area, Prospect, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice wide open spaces, not overcrowded. No sewer at the site but a nice dump station. Our site did not offer a lot of shade until late, late afternoon but that is when you need it most. We did not take advantage of the other end of the park near the lake since we arrived late. Great paths to walk and nice dog areas. Wonderful for the price, I would recommend to anyone for a nice break from your typical RV park. Very relaxing. We camped at Joseph H. Stewart State Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds, Trinidad, California

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is the most peaceful park I have ever stayed at. We stayed only one night and had a site with a deck overlooking the otter pond (yes it really has otters), which is only available to smaller rigs but all the sites are beautiful. The deck at the rear of the site came with a fire pit, chairs and a table. The area out our front door was grassy. Flowers and beautiful plants everywhere. All the sites offer privacy by way of vines or shrubs. A lot of rules but a lot of beauty to enjoy. Do not choose this campground to have a rowdy party with your friends. They are very strict about noise but that to me is the charm. All the amenities were extremely clean and closely located. Tow vehicle parking was a bit of a challenge. Oh yes, you can schedule a foot massage too! We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Go into town for seafood. We ate at the Seaside on the pier which was excellent but a bit pricey. I later got a recommendation from a local that there is a restaurant just to the right of the lighthouse, a local dive, that serves awesome chowder.

River Reflections RV Park & Campground, Oroville, California

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second stay here and we love being right on the river. Yes it is close to the highway but I didn't hear the traffic. Yes there is a cement company next door but again it did not cause a problem for us. We have only stayed here for one night at a time so I can't review it for long term. They have a lot of outdoor activities and cute cabins for rent. Nearest store is just up the highway. Next to a paintball company. We camped at River Reflections RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
