Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort, Narvon, Pennsylvania
Date of Stay:
August, 2017 -
$80.00
Overall Rating:
This park is top notch - great pool, restaurant, amenities. What was surprising was that unlike the typical RV park where cabins make up a small percentage of the site, the cabins dominate this park with the RVs being in the minority. The bathrooms should be rated a 9 rather than a 10 by Good Sams because it was relatively small, the stalls were way too small for tall person, and the showers were annoying because you had to hold the water button the entire time or it shuts off in 5 seconds. The campground is a bit secluded and some of the religious suggestions were a little freaky. Other than that, it was a nice stay and we had a great time with family and friends. We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.
Bella Italia is decent and is the closest restaurant.

Castaways RV Resort & Campground , Berlin, Maryland
Date of Stay:
June, 2017 -
$125.00
Overall Rating:
Relative to other top resorts, bath houses were too few and too far away. On top of that, the hot water did not work for 3 days and the showers were not appealing. The beach are was unexpectedly smaller and dumpier than the pictures, the pools were small and crowded. We did not use any of the amenities. Easily the most redneck park we've ever stayed at. Other than that, the location is great. Our site was outstanding with lots of room, fire pit, patio, and away from the crowds. We camped at Castaways RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Full Moon Saloon is close by and had excellent soft shell crab sandwiches. So good, we went there twice.

Cherry Hill Park, College Park, Maryland
Date of Stay:
April, 2017 -
$75.00
Overall Rating:
Very nice park with decent layout. The main draw as other have stated is the access to DC, and there weren't kids running amok as most were out during the day. There are many bath house options as there are so many around and they're really nice. We didn't use any of the amenities but the mini golf, playground, and pool looked great. I like to judge the campground also based on the location and ability to cycle. Unfortunately, this is park is on a busy street in a busy area so I think it may be a death wish to plan a route. We'll use it next time for a UMD football home game. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Travel Trailer.
Mama Lucias is the closest restaurant and was good.

Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort & Marina, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
Date of Stay:
March, 2017 -
$95.00
Overall Rating:
One night stopover on way south because of the glowing reviews. Got to choose site and we chose either 70 or 71 which turned out to be one of the best decorated sites after we walked around. Definitely the place to be if visiting Hilton head. We camped at Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort & Marina in a Travel Trailer.
We had dinner at Floras which had best clams I've ever had.

Stopped on way back north. Nice quiet beautiful facility far enough away from highway. Not much close by other than gas stations. Scary amount of bugs at night and was told it's way worse in summer. We camped at Camp Lake Jasper RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina
Date of Stay:

Overall Rating:
We stayed here on way to Florida and then back on the return. It's a convenient stop along 95. All sites allow you to park, hook, and depart very fast. The lounge outside the bathroom is nice. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Travel Trailer.
The next exit north 3 miles away has all of the food you need in addition to a walmart.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Lake Buena Vista, Florida
Date of Stay:
March, 2017 -
$125.00
Overall Rating:
Amazing campground with top notch facilities and services. Everyone from check-in to rentals to horse rides are there to ensure fast service. My only complaint was that backing into my site was difficult due to the length of my TT and the angle. The road was a lot narrower than I anticipated from YouTube videos. Otherwise, an amazing experience. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Trail End is quite pricey for type of food. Otherwise the cart rental, horseback riding, and pony rides were reasonable.

Lake George RV Park, Lake George, New York
Date of Stay:
July, 2016 -
$98.00
Overall Rating:
Really just an outstanding park in all respects. We were there on a weekday where the park was 2/3 empty to when it was completely full on a holiday weekend. It has become an annual trip for us because the park is so nice and there are lots to do around town. The high price is worth it, not just for the amenities but it keeps the campers a little more high scale. We were surrounded by nice families with small kids. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
Lots of stuff to do around town - outlets, drive-in, restaurants, boating, cycling

The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone, Verona, New York
Date of Stay:
July, 2016 -
$45.00
Overall Rating:
I really don't know how a park can get nicer than this one. The registration desk, bathrooms and showers, sites, spaciousness , and amenities were the best I've ever seen. I read the previous reviews, had high expectations, and they were met. The atmosphere feels different relative to, say, a KOA. There were a high percentage of Class A's and unlike a KOA where every site has a fire going by dusk, here it seems like most were content staying in their RV's (or maybe they were off to the casino). We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Travel Trailer.
The casino buffet is pretty good.

Bristol Woodlands Campground, Canandaigua, New York
Date of Stay:
July, 2016 -
$43.00
Overall Rating:
I echo the previous reviewer's sentiment. It is a very pretty park, with good sites. It is a very uptight park, with the owner threatening to toss you out if you break a rule - mostly quiet and catering to seasonals. There are kids but few relative to other parks, so again, great if you like peace and quiet. If you enjoy cycling, this is not the ideal park because the roads are gravel and the road into the park is extremely hilly - I wound up driving to bottom of hill and starting my ride from there. We camped at Bristol Woodlands Campground in a Travel Trailer.
