Riverside Campground, Springfield, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This park has a lot of potential, but it needs better care. We stayed here for two days to explore the nearby Lincoln sites. The men's bathrooms were filthy. We felt sorry for the tent campers. They had to use them. We did not get a sewer connection, so we had to use the showers. The showers were clean, but the ventilation had much to be desired. People living in the park should also clean up their sites. Some had trash bags outside for two days. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful, and the park is convenient to shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. The roads could also use some TLC. We camped at Riverside Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
