Ross Creek RV Park, Medicine Hat, Alberta

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE FOR A BASIC PARKING LOT. Pull through was barely long enough for our 36' motorhome. Site was right next to the neighbors car. We camped at Ross Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Whistle Stop RV Resort, Abilene, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park is brand new. To become Abilene's premiere RV Resort. Nice flat crushed stone space. Concrete porch. Our space was a pull in. Easy to connect all utilities. The more you pay, the more you get, picnic table and fire ring. No trees or grass yet. Excellent wifi in the park. The bathrooms are the nicest we have seen. We camped at Whistle Stop RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Shady Haven RV Park (formerly Desert Palms RV Park), Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This place is a rip off! It is dangerous! Do NOT stay there. We stayed here thinking the reviews were off because it has a security gate with card and cameras. There is NO security because everyone has cards to the security gates. People inside give cards to thieves who enter park and steal your stuff. We had two bicycles stolen which were on a bike rack with a heavy steal cable. They just used large bolt cutters to cut the cable away.

I reported this to police and to the office. The manager said he would work with the police. Police took a report over the phone and never found the bikes. The manager said the head office would pay for the bikes. Lies. The office will not pay for the bikes. I told the head office to speak with the on site manager.

Do not stay at this park. They will steal your stuff. Look elsewhere. We camped at Shady Haven RV Park (formerly Desert Palms RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Wilderness Village RV Resort, Rocky Mountain House, Alberta

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This is the best campground in all of Canada, in our opinion. Gated community with roving patrol. Free firewood, fire ring, 2 picnic tables, and large pad. Nice pools and hot tubs. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Able to get satellite and wifi. Cell service was spotty. We camped at Wilderness Village RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Golden Eco-Adventure Ranch & Campground, Golden, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The lot was gravel and not very level. To access the lots must drive thru very close trees and narrow road. Stayed in space 51 which opened to large field. Able to get satellite and cell service. Wifi is NOT available in the park. W and E only. Dump station available. We camped at Golden Eco-Adventure Ranch & Campground in a Motorhome.

Happy Land Campground, Kakabeka Falls, Ontario

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park but not worth the $45 price. Clean facilities, good roads, easy access for a 36' motorhome. Good wifi and pick your site carefully for satellite. The staff is courtesy but not very warm and welcoming. We camped at Happy Land Campground in a Motorhome.

Wawa RV Resort and Campground, Wawa, Ontario

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The hostess would not give a price until we stated which club discount we were going to use. The wife felt as if she was getting taken. The site was level. The stay was pleasant. No satellite reception because of the trees. We camped at Wawa RV Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

Bell's Point Beach Campground, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful place on the river. A lot of traffic from the permanent residence. Sandy, uneven lot. New area for transients. W/E were on the end shared with 2-4 other lots which stretched us to the max. The entrance road is terrible and the wifi is spotty. Ants everywhere. We camped at Bell's Point Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Grandview Bend Family Campground, Howe, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We pulled in and took a space of our choice. The sites are level and grassy. It was raining when we came in but the ground was firm. The attendant came by after 7 and registered us. They have about 40 spaces for us transients. The park has well over 200 spaces for permanent residents. The entrance road has numerous pot holes when we came in but a tractor is working the road as I write. The pool is pretty and the playground is nice. WiFi is good where we are. Only water and electric are available, with several dump stations on site. Large field of soy beans behind us and the park is filled with large trees. Clear paths for satellite dish pointing. We would stay here again. We camped at Grandview Bend Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Now this is the kind of park we like. Quiet, clean, and lots of trees. May be hard for satellite reception and their cable was out this evening but WiFi was booming strong, good enough to watch Netflix. We camped at Camp Lakewood Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Only had ONE 50 amp service in the whole park. Was told the wiring is in poor shape (40 years old). No wifi in the park except in the registration office and the lady said it was no good. We did not stay. We camped at Meramec Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

Quiet and away from the interstate.

A sign posted on the fence stated hi speed Internet available . . . Call ####.

I guess the owners don't won't to upgrade the facilities. We stayed at another park nearby.
