Red Trail Campground, Medora, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Clean campground with some shade but not all sites. Was escorted to the site and received help to back in. Larger sites did not have shade trees. Good store, office, with very helpful people working there. Park was busy with the summer traffic for the Medora musical. We camped at Red Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This small town of Medora has the Medora Musical, the Badlands National Park, and the famous Bully Pulpit Golf Course. This area was one of the homes of the late President Teddy Roosevelt. Good shops for local trinkets, some good eating places and the excellent Cowboy Cafe. Busy and small but excellent food and plenty of it.

Wagon Box RV Park, Story, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This was one of the most beautiful campgrounds we have stayed at. Was hard to find, had to stop in town for the location. Office was poor, nothing but one old desk in entrance way. Only one other RV, some full time residents in cottages. Had about 20 to 25 spots. Limited 50 amp service, mostly 20 or 30 amp. Had water but we were told we could not drink it. One dump site, none on the campsite. Bathrooms terrible, men's was locked and never opened, ladies could not be used was so dirty, no showers. I would say a 10 of 10 for beauty in the park, but everything else was fair to poor. We camped at Wagon Box RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This was in the quaint small town of Story WY and about 12 miles from the wonderful western town of Sheridan WY. One store in Story with high prices. One side of the campground was located alongside a fast flowing mountain stream that was very beautiful. Deer throughout the area. If the facilities were brought up to average standards would stay there again, until that happens will not return.
