Great overall park with spacious sites and friendly staff. They have an annoying fly problem right now, that makes it difficult to sit outside. We visit often and have noticed the problem on our last two trips (both in July). I would strongly suggest bringing a couple disposable fly traps, because the maintenance staff will not address the problem. This is a great location if you enjoy casino action or plan on wine tasting at the local wineries.

Fantastic beachfront camping which is basically a parking lot with hookups. The pull-through sites are nice and wide (plenty of room for big rigs) which is hard to come by at most state beach campgrounds. The location is perfect and is within easy walking distance of the pier and downtown. The doggy beach is about a 1 mile walk. Good restaurants, bars and shopping in the area. I didn't rate a 10 due to no showers, sewer or Wi-Fi.

Truly no-frills beachfront camping. Even #'d sites along PCH have noticeable traffic noise, so, if you are a light sleeper this may bother you. Beach and surrounding community of Huntington Beach are great with lots to do. Camp host is very accommodating and friendly. Sites are tight, but manageable (we are 40'). Very dog friendly with doggy beach within walking distance along boardwalk. Rated a 7 for lack of sewer at sites and ridiculous 2nd vehicle policy. Even if you register a 2nd vehicle at time of reservation, it must be with you (connected) at time of check-in or they will charge you an additional $15 per day for the entire length of your stay. Whether it is enforced depends on who is working the gate.

This is a small, quiet, well kept park. Sites on both levels are tight, but don't even consider a lower level site for a motorhome with slides. There is a major problem with ants so be prepared. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It is, in my opinion, overpriced for what is offered. We don't plan on returning.

Location, location, location. This resort is outstanding in all areas as mentioned by previous posters. Extremely large sites, first class amenities including a beautiful infinity pool and well equipped fitness center, complete with sauna. The location is the topping on the cake. Less than two miles from Hwy 59 and any shopping you would need, yet located far enough away from the noise. Less than 10 minutes from the white sand beaches of the Gulf Coast and some fantastic restaurants. I don't understand the previous poster's description of "remotely located". It doesn't get any better than this. The only complaint is the resort is still under construction and it appears the economy has slowed progress down.
