Beaver Lake Campground, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Laundry room good, $2.00-$2.50 washer, dryer $1.00 for 30 min. Unfortunately, wi-if hot spot outside with smoking allowed. Nice dog park, lots of places to walk dog, a little bit out of town, but we liked it. We camped at Beaver Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Holiday RV Park, North Platte, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is clean, plenty of trash cans. I used the laundry facilities and they were in good working order. Restrooms are old, but clean. The swimming pool looked very clean, although we didn't use it. Sure was nice, we were lucky with the tree on our space as it gave us afternoon shade since we faced West. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pawnee State Recreation Area, Lincoln, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park, easy to walk, to ride a bike. Very clean and kept nice. It was very hard to back our travel trailer (27.5 feet) in, very tight to negotiate. We ended up pulling into the empty campsight across from us, then had no problem. We camped at Pawnee State Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

The Campus RV Park, Independence, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

The park is very convenient to Truman House, some museums, historical home, all in walking distance. Lots of sidewalks to walk our dog. They have a dog park, but it is tiny, and the grass was not cut. Easy to back in. There was standing water at our camp site, but we did have a big rain storm prior to us arriving. Be SURE to follow the website driving instructions. GPS will send you a more direct route, but the roads are very tiny and narrow. We camped at The Campus RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

St. Peters' 370 Lakeside Park, Saint Peters, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

I loved the RV park!!! Lots of bike trails to walk or bike. There was a lovely dog park owned by the city. Wish I had known ahead of time so we could get our dog qualified to go in. Our stay worked out perfectly, but there was an error on the nights they had reserved for us and the nights we would be there. We thought we were going to have to move after 1 night, but it all worked out thanks to the staff calling around other guests for one of them to change their location!! We camped at St. Peters' 370 Lakeside Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Definitely go see the Arch and go on the tour. Well worth the money. We have a 48 lb dog and found Twin Rivers Kennel to give our dog a day camp day and it was $10.00 on the Saturday we left him. I would recommend them. We also went to Ulysses S Grant's Historic Site, it was a great tour. A very good documentary worth the time to go in.

Cave Country RV Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

I thought this RV campground was beautiful. Lots of trees, bushes, flowers, a fountain. A great dog park on site which was very clean. When we were leaving, I needed something from the camp store and it was closed. Apparently, the managers or owners were right across the road and saw me, and let me in early to buy my purchase. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

For sure go to Mammoth Caves, do the Historic Tour by a ranger, we did 4 small hikes, Heritage Trail, River Styx Spring Trail, Sloans Pond Walk & a short portion of the Rails to Trails. I wish I had another day to take advantage of biking the 60 miles of trails and greenways in the park. We also went to Abe Lincoln's birthplace and it was worth the hour drive.

Big Meadow Family Campground, Townsend, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

We were here with our RV club with 28 rigs. Staff is very friendly, helped us back in. We had a BBQ Kentucky Derby Party and used their meeting room which was excellent. We were able to bring TVs to watch the race. They have a very nice, clean dog park. We were in Site#2, across road from the river which is very nice. This is our 2nd stay here. WI-FI was strong when we first got there through Saturday. It slowed a bit, but it was better than most places. The grounds are neat and clean. Unfortunately, it rained every day, but still plenty to do. We camped at Big Meadow Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Great Smoky Mountains, festivals, nice winery for wine tasting, very nice long bike greenway. Restaurants nearby, can walk/bike. Fellow RVers saw a black bear and a fox in Cade's Cove. Ate at Monte Real Grill (Mexican), was delicious. River Rat next to float on the river. Too cold to float in May, but we've done it twice, once with kids and the other with adults A very nice stay!!

Tips for other Campers:

Visit a Hot Spring Bath, we visited Quapaw and it was great. Visit the Welcome/Visitor Center which was previously a bath from the early 1900s. It has a lot of old photos, equipment front he years it was a bath, go to Superior Bath House which is now a restaurant. Visit the Mountain View Tower for the view. Be sure to go to Garvan Woodlands Gardens, a beautiful area. We had a very good lunch at the Ohio Club. If traveling with a dog and need a good day care, Bark Central was wonderful.

Had a great time. Wish we had brought our bikes. We used the pavilion with our RV club. Excellent. Easy to park as it was a drive through We traveled with our dog, plenty of places to walk him. My only wish would be a fenced in area so he could go off leash and run. Excellent park, close to the mountains for a nice hike. We camped at River Plantation RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
