Smugglers Cove Resort & Family Campground, Milford, Ontario

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Love this place. It's our go to just to be near the water and meet fellow campers from all over. It's literall a 20 minute drive from our house. See my review from July 2016....I'm just submitting again to show you pictures from our waterfront site for a week. Hated to leave, but some one else booked paradise. We camped at Smugglers Cove Resort & Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA, Jonestown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful year round campground is close to I-81 for Snowbirds. The campground has a river running along the property. A number of sites are back in and pull through right along the river edge. Washroom and laundry building well positioned for most sites. Main building has just about everything including a good selection of meals. The staff are terrific and very helpful. We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Motorhome.

Walnut Hills Campground (formerly Staunton / Walnut Hills KOA), Staunton, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

A little slice of heaven hidden in one of the most beautiful valleys in the foothills of the Shenandoah Mountains. The owner is as personable a person as you'll find. He and his team make you feel right at home as soon as you arrive. The campground scenery is perfect and we were here when the trees are still bare. A number of small streams wind their way through the park and enter and leave the central lake. You can have just about any size and style of campsite throughout the property. One section within the CG is a series of pull throughs which are long but have no sewer - mostly for travelers of one or two nights. The CG provides a great map layout of the campground, TV channels and local vendors. Well equipped on site store. Peaceful, quiet and less than a mile off the interstate. Rolling hills block the sound of traffic. We camped at Walnut Hills Campground (formerly Staunton / Walnut Hills KOA) in a Motorhome.

Little Cedar Creek Campgrounds and Cabins, Ridgeway, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We were in the adjoining park property next door to their original campground layout shown on their website. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Check in is at the office at the original campground (cash only), then you are escorted to choose between a variety of pull through sites. Very peaceful and rustic and separated nicely. Some of the sites offered had low branches which might have limited slides being used, and certainly some would not allow awnings to be put out. However.....very very peaceful, super quiet at night, and a great opportunity to do some star gazing in some areas. We'll be back when we're in the area. Some pull through sites are not completely level front to back. On some sites, you would have to place your rig in a specific location on the site to be level. This may require extension water hoses, sewer hoses, and electrical cords. Some sites and interior roads need a bit of tree trimming to clear taller units. Washrooms, laundry, etc. only available at main campground. We camped at Little Cedar Creek Campgrounds and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Flamingo Lake RV Resort, Jacksonville, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

The reception at the office set the tone for everything with this park. The staff go above and beyond, they're courteous and friendly. The campground and sites are all excellent, circling the Spring fed lake. Great little Sunshine Cafe had great meal offerings all day long, and is a great social meeting area. Beaches are fantastic. This is the kind of campground others should aspire to be. We will be back. We camped at Flamingo Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

1000 Islands / Ivy Lea KOA, Ivy Lea, Ontario

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

Way overcrowded pool area on holiday weekend. No staff supervision witnessed for safety in the pools near slides. Water clarity was in question with swimming population. Adult only hot tub was not monitored either. Very child oriented park activities. Great if you have 'em.

Very overpriced compared to many other KOA Campgrounds we've stayed at. Nice location, but not at that price. We won't be back for that reason along with the population of kids here. We camped at 1000 Islands / Ivy Lea KOA in a Motorhome.

St. Lawrence Parks - Woodlands, Ingleside, Ontario

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Staff are working continuously to keep Park and facilities in great condition. Washrooms and showers were spotless. Long weekend customers were at capacity, and garbage container units were overloaded. Needed to be emptied more often. Be aware that some of the roads and sites are extremely narrow causing rigs to run across the grass and mud. The roads need more width for longer units to stay on the travelled path for curves and entry/exit to sites. We camped at St. Lawrence Parks - Woodlands in a Motorhome.

We always make Ft. Chiswell our go to stop on the way to Florida. Easy access to I-81 and I-77. Terrific staff and always just take your name for reservations...no credit card up front. The sites are set up for people just passing through....lots of pull through, some with concrete pads. Washroom/shower facilities are first rate. Beautiful setting in the rolling hills just off Blue Ridge Parkway. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rideau Acres Campground, Kingston, Ontario

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

It was perfect Autumn weather for camping and the park population was sparse. The back-in sites are well laid out for spacing. We had full hookup, but 4 sites shared a common post for electricity and water. Each site had an individual 30amp outlet, but only 2 water taps on the post, therefore "Y" taps would be needed. Not sure if the office supplies them, and not everyone carries one of their own (we do). It is a large well provisioned campground alongside the Rideau Canal Waterway. Lots to see in the local region...1000 Islands Boat Cruises, Kingston City Bus Tours, Casino, Over 30 Wineries within an hour. Grass was a little long, but it's late in the season. We will return. We camped at Rideau Acres Campground in a Motorhome.
