Elks Lodge 2251, Tempe, Tempe, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

You must be an Elks Club member to stay at this RV park. Gravel sites that are close, but good for a several night stay when traveling through Phoenix. Elks Club is within 2 miles of Interstate 10 exit 153. Easy access from I-10. It is in an industrial area that does have occasional truck traffic at night. We camped at Elks Lodge 2251, Tempe in a Motorhome.

Tonopah Station RV Park, Tonopah, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

The park is a line of pull through very close sites The area is 100% black top. All spaces are about 4" out of level, right to left. First site we had #8 had a short in the 50A plug that sparked. Moved to site #1 and had a 15 vol voltage between lag 1 & 2. Our Precision power unit probably dropped our power 10 times or more due to low voltage in the one leg. At lease it's protecting the AC and not letting them run on low voltage. This place is definitely a poor one night stop over half way between Reno and Las Vagas. Wish we had tried one of the other parks in town. Sites are on a first come, first serve basis. You pull in an empty site then go in casino and pay. We camped at Tonopah Station RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rogue Valley Overniters RV, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

A good overnight park for travelers. We had a 50A full hookup pull through site that was an easy in and out for our 45' coach and Jeep towed. A few trees, but our DirecTV had no trouble connecting. Sites are bigger than average. Paved roads, but sites were a very dusty fine gravel. We camped at Rogue Valley Overniters RV in a Motorhome.

Peace Arch RV park, Surrey, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Traffic getting to this park from TC#1 was a challenge. Very friendly staff. Made reservation 1 week in advance of arrival and was told would be in overflow until a space opened up. Arrived and was assigned #B-10 which is a 50' long pull through. Tall trees on both sides separating the narrow pull through site. Barely long enough for our 45' coach. Was lucky, our DirectTV dish was able to connect through a narrow gap in the trees. Park is quiet, Interior roads are narrow, but paved. Only 30A electric available. We camped at Peace Arch RV park in a Motorhome.

Edgewater Inn and RV Park, Malta, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Very disappointed. For what here at you get rate is $10-15 to high. They have 7 pull through sites and 6-8 back ins. Sites are so close together that we would almost hit the neighbor's slide outs with ours. The picnic table had broken seat boards. Dogs running loose and the owners did not pick up their mess. We camped at Edgewater Inn and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Buffalo Trails Campground, Williston, North Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

There is a lot of road work in the area, and some re -routing will be required to find this campground. It appears to have started life as a KOA. Sites are well layed out and accessing is easy. Interior roads are gravel and very dusty. Host was very friendly and walked out to guide us into our site. For what you get, this is about $5-8 dollars over priced. But in the summer heat the power was good and we ran all 3 of our ACs. We camped at Buffalo Trails Campground in a Motorhome.

River Place Campground & Dockage, Duluth, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a campground located right on the edge of the river. They do not accept credit cards. Cash or check is required. We were in the second row back from the river and had a view of the river between the seasonals in the front row. The campground is mostly seasonable renters with about 8-10 sites for short term rental. A very quiet campground with few dogs or kids running around. Hardly any interior trafffic. We camped at River Place Campground & Dockage in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Getting to this campground is a little tricky. Our GPS was not clear on the routing of the last two turns. It is about 18 miles to downtown Duluth and is a real bargain for the area. We'll definitely stay here again.

Apostle Islands Area Campground, Bayfield, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

A young couple, just took over this campground about 5 weeks ago. They are very helpful and are working hard at inproving all the little items and tasks that the previous owner left them with. This was already a nice campground and this ambitious young couple is working to make it a lot better. This is definitely our place to stay when ever we're in this area. All it lacks is paved interior roads. There is a problem with some dust control on the gravel roads, but the new owners have been working on the roads every day we've been here. We camped at Apostle Islands Area Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

20 sites. Very peaceful and quiet. Host was very friendly and helpful. Cash or check only. Very nice view of the lake. Sites are slight slope, but not unmanageable. Road in is a curvey downhill in trees one lane, so hope you don't meet anyone going out. We camped at L'Anse Township Park in a Motorhome.

Haggard's RV Campground, Pueblo West, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This parks appears to be one of the old original KOA's that has become a private campground. Owners are great folks. Very nice and accommodating. We had a large pull through site. The only negative is their well water has high iron and a high mineral taste. Bring lots of bottled water. We camped at Haggard's RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tomes Mobile Home Park, Council Bluffs, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is the perfect park for our travel needs. No frills, very clean and well kept grounds, long back in sites. 119V steady 50A power, good water pressure, quiet at night. The sewer connection for the site we had was in an awkward, but assessable location. Nice big trees, but the majority of the sites are located so they do not interfere with the satellite signal. We definitely stay here every time we visit family in Omaha. We camped at Tomes Mobile Home Park in a Motorhome.

Pocono Vacation Park, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This park has a large number of seasonal and a few year round residents. Park is neat and well maintained. They have about 10 sites for short term campers. They have a well maintained pool that seems to be in constant use by mothers and kids. We're here for a month while visiting family in the area and regularly stay here each year. It's quiet and OK for our needs. It has a very sharp uphill blind corner on the approach to the entrance that can be exciting if you happen to meet another rig going the opposite way. We got invaded this stay by small ants. We camped at Pocono Vacation Park in a Motorhome.
