Camping de la Joie, Quebec City, Quebec

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second visit to Quebec City. Last year we stayed at another park and the best advantage of it was being right off the Trans Canada. This campground is about 20 minutes from the Trans Canada, but a much different type of campground. Nice spots with tree's. Two playgrounds, a nice pool with toys and floaties available. The bathroom was very clean and it had a full length mirror which was nice. The main building had a store, library, a restaurant, board games and puzzles and free wifi upstairs and the basement was like a grandma house. It had three washers and dryers, new and clean, a toy area, fooseball, ping pong and pool table. We there over the weekend and drove into the old city, only 20 minutes but if we were there on a weekday we would have used the shuttle. $25 for a family. Only gave it a 9 as it's on a very steep hill and they have tall speed bumps which the trailer would scrape on. If you want a relaxing stop or are stopping more then one night, it's so much nicer than the other park on the Trans Canada. We camped at Camping de la Joie in a Tent Trailer.

De la Republique Provincial Park Campground, Edmundston, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We picked this park as a one night stop between Toronto and Halifax. It's just off the highway but very quiet, a lovely location. Check in was the fastest I have ever had, it was dark when we arrived and a staff led us to our site and directed us in backing into the site. Use of the pool is included in the site fee so the next day I swam with our younger kids and my husband and teen visited the Museum. It had about 30 cars and cost under $10 for the two of them. We camped at De la Republique Provincial Park Campground in a Tent Trailer.
