Willits KOA, Willits, California

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Willits has just become a destination. We will be back. Owner helped in leveling trailer. Park is clean. Lots for kids to do. Quiet but not the weekends. But we enjoy kids so its ok. Just spent one night and will come back for sure. Rate is a guess for a premium spot. We camped at Willits KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We are used to freeway noise, so it didn't bother us that bad. Campground is excellent for a quick stop. People are friendly. The hot tub warm and relaxing after a long drive. We camped at Premier RV Resorts of Eugene Oregon in a Fifth Wheel.

Sea and Sand RV Park, Depoe Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice location, nice staff, nice view on most of the "ocean sites." Foggy, and windy, but this is on the coast. Lower level was a little tight to back for a newbie, but what a sight to see. Rate is a guess, forgot to write it down. We camped at Sea and Sand RV Park in a Motorhome.

Columbia Riverfront RV Park, Woodland, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Rainy and windy, but still a nice park, plenty of level spacing. Good directions from freeway. Close to St Helen for viewing. Stayed for 4 days to relax, and did. Took pictures of shipping on the Columbia River. Ownership cares and gave good advice on traveling the Siskiyou Range. Very friendly staff and ground crew. We camped at Columbia Riverfront RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

San Diego Metro KOA, Chula Vista, California

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent place, clean, close and friendly. Staff seems to be always around to help out with info or camping needs. Parking is a little rough with the tight streets. Nightly rate was a guess as wife has the numbers and she is out sightseeing with the grandkids. We camped at San Diego Metro KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly staff, cute decorations in the park. Everyone wants to help. Near to the new Sheridan Inn for a heck of a meal, ghost(s) included at no charge. Would definitely stay here again. Close to some Indian Wars sites, and Custer's last stand. Great campground. We camped at Sheridan / Big Horn Mountains KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort), Moran, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Too much isolation with no cell service, no Wi-Fi, no cable and no TV, we were very isolated with an elderly mom-in-law in another state. Pay phone in the RV park did not work as well as the one in the main lodge. Nearest phone was down by the customer service office for the park not the lodge. But the staff was excellent, knowledgeable, friendly and very courteous. They were from around the US. In June we still got some snow especially at higher elevations. We camped at Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch (formerly Flagg Ranch Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Phillips RV Park, Evanston, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $30.00

Park was good for a one niter, but the staff was abrupt. OK, we were just passing through. Would look for another spot to try out on the way to Yellowstone. We camped at Phillips RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Canyon Motel & RV Park, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Great place to stay, and catch the train to the Grand Canyon. Looks brand new, trees are small and everything is "new." Has a clean and secure laundry and shower area. Wow, and they even give you soap and shampoo in the showers. A common area has a fire pit, along with 4 gas BBQ grills to use. We camped at Canyon Motel & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
