Flying Goose Campground, Fairmont, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived on a Saturday and this campground was packed with locals. They put us in a pull-through site that I would not recommend to anyone. There was hardly any shade and our neighbors were very close. On Sunday nearly everyone had left, except the people who leave their trailers there full time. I went to the office to see if we could move and it was closed so I left a message. Upon their return, they allowed us to move to any site that was open. The new site was so much nicer and worth the money. They were having issues with their credit card payment system and I paid with a check. We stayed 3 nights. You have to call or email a request because they don't have a reservation system. We camped at Flying Goose Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Chief Hosa Lodge & Campground, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is near I-70 but we were not disturbed by the traffic noise. The sites are very close to one another and some may be difficult to back in a larger travel trailer. We were in site 14 and had a lot of room on our entry door side because we were at the end of the first row. The sites in the middle and very cramped and crowded. It is located in the trees near the buffalo overlook. We had water and sewer hookups but no sewer. They had a dump station but charged $23.00 to use. This is a City of Denver park. We would camp there again. We camped at Chief Hosa Lodge & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

I recommend site 14 or site 17 if you are in a travel trailer or RV. The others are not roomy at all.

Double Nickel Campground, Waco, Nebraska

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This facility is near the interstate but the traffic noise was not disturbing. The sites are well spaced so you don't feel crowded. Each site has grass and most have trees. They have power and water hookups and some sewer hookups. They do have a dump station. There is a warning about the high nitrate content in the water and we did notice it stained the filter we use. We drank bottled water to avoid the contaminated water. We stayed overnight on a weekend and the campground was filled with locals with lots of kids. We camped on our return trip during the week and it was quiet and peaceful. The campground manager were very nice. Would stay their again. We camped at Double Nickel Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nat-Soo-Pah Hot Springs & Campground, Twin Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Nice and shady campground a couple miles from US 93. It's a hidden oasis visited mostly by locals. The hot springs and pool were a wonderful way to relax during our two week vacation. We stayed two nights. Easy in and out. Water, electric, and sewer. Love this place. We camped at Nat-Soo-Pah Hot Springs & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Go during the week. It is not crowded in the campground. I was told by the locals that the weekends can be very crowded.

Glacier Campground, West Glacier, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Very close to the west entrance to Glacier National Park. All sites are in the trees making it cool and shady. The campground hosts were all very accommodating. The site we had was long enough for our 31 foot travel trailer and truck. There was plenty of vegetation between sites giving some privacy. Our site had water and electric. Some tent sites appeared to be crowded and did not offer much privacy. We were able to get TV reception and some cell phone service. The Wifi was only available in the office where they had a nice living room area with comfy furniture and a TV. The price was a lot less than any other campground in the area. I would return. We camped at Glacier Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Wagonhammer RV Park & Campground, North Fork, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Camped overnight. We camped in a spot with water and electric, no sewer hookup. They wanted $10 to use their dump station. There were no shade trees in the space where we camped. Our spot backed up to the Salmon River which was nice. There was no cell phone service unless you had Verizon. The WiFi service was not reliable at all. Was unable to connect unless I walked closer to the office. We camped at Wagonhammer RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
