Goodland KOA, Goodland, Kansas

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice older KOA. Site was level, wide enough, hookups easy, water pressure and voltage good. Good satellite signal. Nice picnic table and BBQ grille. Very big open dog exercise yard that was nice to see. Pool was clean, facilities clean, nice small camp store, very friendly help. Far enough off the freeway so no road noise. We have got a lot less for a lot more money. We would definitely stay here again when passing thru. We camped at Goodland KOA in a Motorhome.

Newberry Campground (formerly Newberry KOA), Newberry, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for a couple of days on the way home. Nice clean park. Clean bathrooms, showers, pool. Daily garbage pickup. Lots to do in any direction for day trips. We would stay here again. Sites are big. Lots of shade so satellite reception is sketchy. Our spot had a good dish signal. Three bars of Verizon LTE. Park wireless was usable but slow. We used our jet pack. We camped at Newberry Campground (formerly Newberry KOA) in a Motorhome.

Paradise Point RV Park, DeTour Village, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful small park owned and cared for by a great couple. We had a waterfront site with a really nice view of the bay and freighters going by. Almost every site has a great view of the water. There is a place to launch a boat and park your trailer if you fish. Kayaks can launch from the shore or ramp. There is no bath house, laundry, game courts, playground, or any frills like that but none are needed. The serenity and peacefulness are just what we were looking for. We stayed three days and had plans of taking day trips around the area but the quiet of the park was so nice we never left. Be sure to make a reservation and call ahead for the gate code or you wont get in. Great experience. We will be back again for sure. We camped at Paradise Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

Vacation Station RV Resort, Ludington, Michigan

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a really nice park as others have stated. Lots of green space. Well manicured grounds. Nicely paved interior roads. Exit is on a lightly traveled side road and leads to a traffic light. Big site with a picnic table and fire pit. Showers and bathrooms clean and centrally located. This site didn't have satellite reception but the park cable was plenty good. Park WiFi was good. Verizon signal was good. Everyone working in the park was nice and helpful. We will definitely be back. We camped at Vacation Station RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort, Empire, Michigan

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed in the resort section for 3 days after season so the rate was $40.00 a day. Everyone was polite and helpful. Beautifully landscaped park. Site was back in and also landscaped beautifully. Site was on one of the ponds with large paved patio and paved walkway to the pond where the fire pit and wrought iron furniture were. Also has a picnic table on the patio by the side of the MH. Site was level and paved with patio pavers not concrete slab which adds to the resort feel. Park wireless was usable but we used our Verizon jet pack. Good satellite reception. Did not try OTA signals. Got 3 bars of Verizon LTE. All utilities were easy hookup and worked fine. Clubhouse not finished but there were contractors here working on it during our stay. Sites large and spaced pretty far apart with enough vegetation between to feel private. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Petoskey RV Resort, Bay Harbor, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice resort type RV park. Site was very large level concrete pad wide enough and long enough for the toad to park in front of or next to the MH. Plenty of green space between sites. Hookups were convenient. Very nice picnic table and fire ring. We had a back row back in site. There was some road noise but not enough to change the experience. Our site did not get satellite reception but the cable was plenty adequate. Wireless internet was the best for any campground we have been to so far. Three bars of Verizon LTE. Grounds are meticulously cared for. Price was borderline but we decided it was worth it after taking everything into account. The KOA down the street is almost as much money for a lot less amenities and room. Pool and clubhouse are first class. Interior roads were wide and paved. Everyone here including campers and staff were very cordial and pleasant. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Petoskey RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Log Cabin Resort & Campground, Curtis, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Nice older private park on Big Manistique lake. Pull thru sites are concrete pad, ours had a patio, fire pit, wooded and very spacious. FHU back in sites were pretty close together.Water and sewer hookups convenient. Cable TV worked good. WIFI was slow but the park was full when we stayed. 2 bars on Verizon jet pack was enough to make it work fine. Interior roads are dirt but no clay so they were slightly muddy but not greasy. They had just received 1.5" of rain the day we arrived. For the money this was a great park. We will stay here again. We camped at Log Cabin Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Kellogg RV Park, Kellogg, Iowa

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Nice private park that is part of a Phillips 66 fuel / quick stop / diner. Close to the highway with some noise outside but not inside. Nice roomy spot with a welcomed shade tree. Good satellite signal. Good Verizon signal. Hookups were easy. We have paid a lot more more money for a lot less campsite. Really good hamburger joint at the gas station that you check in at. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Kellogg RV Park in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Very busy park in a nice location. I would recommend reservations as they appeared to be full every day we were here. There are great views in all directions. Close to I-25 but no highway noise. The office help were all very nice. Restrooms, showers, and laundry were all clean but we did not use them. Camp store has all the stuff you run out of or forgot. Sites are mostly gravel but many have a nice concrete patio and picnic table or small table and chairs. Ours was level with patio and picnic table. Camp WiFi was OK but we used our Verizon Jet Pack. Hookups were convenient. We will definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Double D RV Park, Texola, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Very basic older self service park close to I-40. They reserved us a 50 amp site and marked it with our name on a piece of paper. Very nice people to deal with over the phone but no one was available when we got there or left. Leave the money in an envelope in a drop box. 50 amp power was good as it was 107 degrees on the thermometer when we arrived and the AC's never shut off over-nite. We would stay here again when passing thru. Water and power good. Sewer hookup easy but not threaded. They did have a weight there to hold the hose down with. We camped at Double D RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very clean and well manicured RV resort in every sense of the word. Beautiful pool area. Sites are mostly owned but many are open for transient stays. Overall Rating:

Stayed over Memorial day weekend. We stayed in a wooded site with FHU. No satellite TV service but on air stations available and park has cable. Good Verizon signal for our phones and jet pack. Park has WiFi but we did not use. Site was pretty level with picnic table and fire pit. Park was busy on the holiday weekend but not rowdy. We would stay again. Everyone was pleasant and polite. We were parked next to the shower house and thought it would be too much traffic but it was not a problem. Road noise was present but not annoying.
