We stayed in 4J for two nights. best place we stayed but mainly because of the location. We were able to walk into town, which was rare for most campgrounds. The sites are very close together, have to juggle to put the awning up and have it over your picnic table, trying not to be too close to the sewage outlet! However the facilities were good and clean, showers free. WiFi very patchy and sometimes nonexistent. Saying all that we would come back to the site, as it gave us everything we wanted.

We booked for two nights as we were visiting Mesa Verde. Sites are good with plenty of room, reasonably close and level. We were not aware of the alcohol ban, as the site is in the reservation area (we are from UK so not aware of the rule when booking). Visited the casino for lunch, wish we could have gone somewhere else, dark and dingy, and situated off the smoking side of the casino so not very pleasant. We decided that the site wasn't for us and only stayed one night.

We stayed at South Fork in a 30 ft. motorhome for one night. Good location on Rio Grande but only a few sites back on to it. The sites are very close together, and when we were there, it appeared many sites were long term stayers, a month or maybe longer. The hosts are very helpful and friendly, facilities could do with a bit of modernization, and WiFi was intermittent, unless you sat near 'the shed'.

We stayed at Echo Canyon for 2 nights, a base for us to visit the Gorge and go White Water Rafting. Campground is ideally sited as rafting, and restaurants sited opposite campground. Facilities were clean, WiFi was good, best of all the sites we visited. Some road and helicopter noise. Site is spacious, no close neighbours, staff very helpful. Would visit again.
