Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort, Grand Island, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Gravel pad and roads. Enjoyed walking around the CG and small lake. Didn't care for our site (right next to the bath) but we were only there for Niagara Falls so we were gone most of the time. We camped at Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort in a Motorhome.

The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone, Verona, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very pretty park with blacktop roads and sites. It's the kind of CG that I enjoyed walking and biking around. Pool and large play area for the kids. A shuttle will take you to the casino. The casino looks fairly new. They appear to have a lot of entertainment on certain days. We would return. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Motorhome.

Partridge Hollow Campground, Monson, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the overflow parking area. I never walked around in the park itself. The road in has many turns and we wondered what would happen if another MH was coming from the other direction, very narrow in places. We had this very large field all to ourselves which we liked. We stayed an extra day because one of the pups got sick and had to take it to a vet. Many families there. The two pools and basketball court were close to us. We camped at Partridge Hollow Campground in a Motorhome.

Shore Hills Campground and RV Park, Boothbay, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was in the wooded section. The fully wooded spaces are wider there and afforded more privacy than the big rig area. Paved roads. Very nice. Good dog walking CG even has a trail onto a very small island. Showers cost a quarter per five minutes. Trash cans conveniently located at every site. We would return. We camped at Shore Hills Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice little CG in the woods. Very helpful and friendly staff. Walked pups around the CG up to main entrance road. Excellent location with Acadia and Bar Harbor about 20 miles away. Stonehurst Golf Course & Trailer Park, Moncton, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was in a very large grassy field. There was nothing but a field in front of us. It probably felt more spacious than it actually was because it was so open in front. The golf course was just around the corner. It was great for walking the pups. I also walked them up to the main entrance road. We enjoyed the CG so much we stayed an extra day. We would return. We camped at Stonehurst Golf Course & Trailer Park in a Motorhome.

Cranberry Campground, Merigomish, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Easy in, easy out CG. It borders a salt marsh. There are open fields around it. I had an issue with the bathroom as I was left in the dark twice. Maybe I didn't know how to work the timer. Although it seemed to be a motion timer. It was frustrating. It appears to be a popular CG, has a pool. We saw the bald eagle. We camped at Cranberry Campground in a Motorhome.

Glenview RV Campground, Whycocomagh, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Small CG with spaces close together, grass pads, gravel roads. A good many seasonals. Clean and tidy campsites. For us it was all about the location to disconnect the car and drive the Cabot Trail. Owners, staff were very nice. I did not have Canadian coins for laundry. There is a pool which looked clean. I walked the pups up the road out of the park in a nearby subdivision. We camped at Glenview RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Alexander Graham Bell Museum in Baddeck is worthwhile. Drove the Cabot Trail and were glad we did not drive the motorhome. It would have been difficult to stop at shops and restaurants and the steep hills and sharp turns would have been stressful for us. Only saw a couple of big rigs on the Trail. It is beautiful and scenic for sure. Need Canadian coins to do laundry.

King Neptune Campground, Indian Harbour, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Site 26 by far the best. Awesome. We got lucky and were randomly given this spot. Once you have a site you can stay as long as you wish. No reservations. Great destination park. Grass pad, no sewer, fairly level. No credit cards. A good many of the sites have a view of the ocean. Used bear extender to get wifi. No cable and only one OTA. The site may be considered a back-in but we drove straight in and ran the cords underneath MH. We camped at King Neptune Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Peggy's Cove is just down the road. Swissaire 111 Memorial. Halifax - Nova Scotia Art Gallery, Halifax. Maritime Museum. They have a large enclosed off leash dog park at Mainland Common Park. A drive along Peggy's Cove road, Hwy. 333 will take you through several small fishing villages and towns. Very scenic. Lovely area. We plan to return.

Scotia Pines Campground, Brookfield, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We were parked under the pine trees and they afforded us some great shade. We were facing a large open field where we walked the pups. The CG is very large. We were separated from the seasonals as they were together off to the sides. Showers are older but clean. They take quarters. We camped at Scotia Pines Campground in a Motorhome.

Gravel site and roads. View across marsh of Bay of Fundy. Hiking trails. Just a couple of kilometers to Hopewell Rocks. Wifi available but connection issues. Park was full so could not book an extra night. Staff, owners were very cordial. Swimming pool and playground for kids. We camped at Ponderosa Pines Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was on the end. It is gravel but has grassy areas and wild flowers and small trees around the perimeter. The trail around Lily Lake is fabulous. Neat and tidy park. Very nice view from a section of the CG that bordered the highway down below. We camped at Rockwood Park in a Motorhome.

Sunset Point RV Trailer Park, Lubec, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Grass pad, tight spaces, gravel roads. We parked the motorhome straight in and managed to hook up to the pedestals that were in the front by running everything underneath. This afforded us a constant water view. But, this arrangement also brought you very close to your neighbor. We set up our chairs in front of the MH which was a spacious area. There is a large spacious grassy area on a hill behind the sites which was great for walking pups. I also walked them up the road to the entrance. Honey wagon service available ($10 per tank) or use their blue tank for free and do it yourself. Wi-fi was good and we had 80 cable channels. This was our main destination CG and we stayed 13 days. We made reservations six months prior. Staff was cordial and helpful. We camped at Sunset Point RV Trailer Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

c is a few blocks long with a few shops, hardware store IGA, marina. Campobello Island, Canada is only a few miles away. Franklin Roosevelt's cottage. The drive around the island is scenic. Eastport is touristy with many shops and restaurants. Interesting marina where at low tide you are looking down at the boats. Calais has a Walmart. West Quoddy Lighthouse has a nice walking path with scenic views of the water. Cobscook Bay State Park boat launch was a great area to take the pups swimming.

Northport Campground, Northport, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We did not have reservations on this Saturday night and managed to get a pull through shaded, grass site, gravel roads. Park was not near full. They did play music in the evening further in the back by the pool area which we enjoyed listening to because it was a nice variety. The staff was cordial. This managed us well for an overnight and got to walk pups around the campground. Cash only. Our site appeared to be spacious because the sites on both sides were vacant. We camped at Northport Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Husband enjoyed a "delicious" lobster roll ($16) at Margaret's which is 1 1/2 miles away. We bought that before we entered campground as we didn't want to disconnect.
