A Stone's Throw RV Park, Lamont, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very small park, maybe 20 sites, but well kept up. Sits right next to interstate so there is some noise but not disturbing. Not Big Rig Friendly, limited Wi-fi that kept resetting. Sites are fairly level but are a tight fit. Full hook ups. Good pet yards with separations for large and small dogs. No cable but TV reception was good. Well lighted at night. No playground or pool. Cash or credit with a fee. Very friendly owner. Recommend overnight stop only. We camped at A Stone's Throw RV Park in a Motorhome.

Azalea Acres RV Park, Robertsdale, Alabama

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Adult Park with no children's activities. Large open field with long very level sites. Very big rig friendly. No tables but some concrete pads. Full hook ups with Wi-fi included but no cable. TV reception is fine. Very quiet with plenty of spacing between sites. No shade so summer heat would be brutal. No dog park but area is large and dogs can be walked around park without interacting with others or sites. Pizza take out place across the street and they deliver to park. Would recommend this place to any adults traveling. We will be back there again. We camped at Azalea Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Skip first turn in from I-10 and take Patterson Road all the way. Much easier for large rigs and long tows. Call them as you leave I-10 and they will meet you at the gate to take you right to your site and then you can register.

City Of Roses RV Park, Thomasville, Georgia

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is an RV/trail neighborhood not a park. Junk cars with dogs tied to them, cats everywhere. The place out our front window looked to be a 'hoarder'. Many of the ' RV homes' were from the 60's & 70's model year. They claim 72 sites but at least 68 of them have permanent residents. Animal poop & trash was everywhere. Sites are grass/mud with ruts and large mud holes. No wifi or cable. No toilets/showers mentioned as available. This is the first place in 22 years where we felt compelled to lock up our outer bins on the RV & leave nothing out overnight. Part of the park smelled of sewer every time I walked the dogs. This place shouldn't be approved as a Passport America park; it degrades confidence in PA as a good recommendation. So why did we stay here, only place in town near family. But never again!!! I will drive a longer distance before I would stay here again. Can not recommend this to anyone. We camped at City Of Roses RV Park in a Motorhome.
