Dutch Cousin Campground, Denver, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 3 nights in site 56. The site is on an outside row. It was near perfect level and had a large fire ring of local stone loosely laid.

Our 30 amp, water, sewer, and cable hookups were fine, however, the wifi was not so good, slow as molasses in January.

This campground is mostly stone, meaning, little vegetation, though the entire campground is under a mature canopy of trees, almost all shaded. There's a little playground to the rear of the grounds. The sites are close together in the interior, and there are numerous rather permanent setups. We camped at Dutch Cousin Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Dutch Cousin is a quiet place, and very convenient to Adamstown, antiques, Stoudts restaurant, other food establishments, Reading, Ephrata, and my favorite, the Middle Creek Wildlife Management area. I recommend a visit to Middle Creek, the visitor center is excellent, and the entire area is great for hiking, biking, bird watching, etc.

Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort, Grand Island, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $64.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for a full week. The available hookups were fine; no problems with water, sewer or 30 amp electric. Our site was in the very back of the campground. The stone pad was not quite wide enough, would be nice to have it surfaced with a finer stone. I moved a bunch of larger 'ankle twisting' stones to a pile off to the side. The entire camp site should have been graded level prior to grass seeding. There was road noise from Route 190 but it wasn't obnoxious.

The back part of this campground is removed from the main activities areas, providing for a more secluded experience. Minimal campground traffic passed our site.

This is an excellent campground for exploring the Niagara/Buffalo/Canada region. We camped at Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort in a Travel Trailer.
