Sandy Riverfront RV Resort, Troutdale, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Nice quiet park. Wifi is OK...Tengointernet...depends on demand. Water pressure is problematic depending on demand. Staff was friendly. Did not use their cable...box is required from office. Call for routing to campground. My GPS took me through 2 narrow bridges and roads. There is an easier way to get in. We camped at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

5 minute walk to town from rear of park. Very good food at Troutini although a bit pricey. Everything is made from scratch so it will take longer but worth the wait. Waitress was great. Bandit's offers happy hour on tap beer for $2.00. Bar food is OK. Locals will chat you up. Walmart a few miles away and outlet stores are walkable near the end of town.

Lyman KOA, Lyman, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Easy on & off of I-80. Wifi is slow. Water pressure OK. Although we are in a pull through site, to get out will not be as easy because of the site design for this park. I would have to pull out hard to the right, straighten out, back up and then turn to leave the park. Very strange layout. Sites are set in an "H" pattern. Sites are also not very level. We camped at Lyman KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Small park which is mostly permanent sites. WiFi ok. Water pressure good. Cable snowy. Very narrow roads not particularly designed for larger rigs. There are some long concrete pull through sites which looked brand new. Good overnight stop while in transit. The pad I was on was mostly broken up concrete. Nice quiet campground conveniently located off I-75. Narrow road going into the entrance of campground and entrance located on a bend so be careful with oncoming traffic. Good water pressure. WiFi was a pain as it was Tengo Internet and signal very weak. Cable was snowy on most channels. We camped at Sweetwater / I-75 / Exit 62 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Misty Mountain Camp Resort, Greenwood, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second stay at this location this year. This time we were in the lower part of the campground. Water pressure was good. Cable was good and wifi was OK. The park was pretty much packed with the weekend crowd. There also seemed to be a large group that had a function there. The roads were a tad narrow to make turns to get in and out of the space with a big rig but was manageable. Some of the trees needed to be cut back a bit for the taller rigs. We camped at Misty Mountain Camp Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Front Royal RV Campground, Front Royal, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older, dated campground not designed for big rigs. All the sites that I saw here were not level with loose dirt fill and very narrow. Water pressure was a problem at times. The entrance to Koa Drive off Rt. 340 is steep and narrow. The back of the 5th wheel dragged on the ground going in and out. Once on Koa Drive, the road was narrow and went through a free roaming cow pasture (watch out for dung on road) with the final approach to the campground with tree branches that were too low and needed pruning. The picnic table was in bad shape and the fire rings were rusted out. We camped at Front Royal RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
