Jantzen Beach RV Park, Portland, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park with a mixture of long-term residents and short-term guests. We stayed for a month and after submitting to a background check, we received a great monthly rate. We found the only real drawback to this location is that it's an island. The only way on and off the island is to use I-5. Leaving the island isn't too bad, but if you try to return during the afternoon rush hours, be patient. You can reach the light rail "Park and Ride" lot in about 5 minutes, and then take the train in to Portland, or any other destination around the city. It's very convenient. We found the park to be generally clean, and well maintained. The staff and most residents were friendly and helpful. We camped at Jantzen Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Vineyard RV Park, Vacaville, California

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

What a nice park. Green with trees, flowers and shrubs. Plenty of space to walk, two nice pools, an exercise room. The park is just a few minutes from Vacaville, with loads of shopping and restaurants. It's about an hours drive from San Francisco. There is a nice mix of short and long term residents. We stayed for four nights. This is our third stay while visiting relatives in SF. Great staff. We camped at Vineyard RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bakersfield River Run RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This was one of the nicest, well maintained parks I've been in; period. We were only over-nighting, but if we get the chance we will happily return. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Williams / Exit 167 / Circle Pines KOA, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was our fourth monthly stay at this park. We stayed from May through June. New management has continued upgrading the sites and amenities. Most sites are under the pine trees. The only issue we had was dripping sap from all the pines. I guess every slice of paradise has at least one issue. The staff are helpful and friendly. They now have a huge "bouncy thing". Our granddaughter and most other kids couldn't jump up and down on it enough! We camped at Williams / Exit 167 / Circle Pines KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Yellowstone Golf Resort, Ashton, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

This might be my favorite RV park yet. Most sites are nestled in a picturesque Aspen forest. Many sites are hidden from their neighbors by the trees. This morning a doe and two fawns wondered thru our site. Weekdays the park is mostly deserted; and even when it fills up on weekends, it remains quiet and peaceful. They have a par 3 golf course, which is seldom crowded, so you're not rushed from hole to hole. There is no WiFi, but we had excellent AT&T and Verizon service. We had no problem streaming Netflix. There are no street lights in the park. Night is pitch black unless the moon is out. The stars are magnificent. Yellowstone Park is an hour away. There is a Walmart 30 minutes South in Rexburg. The new owners are working hard to make this a great RV park. It is now called the Yellowstone Golf and RV Resort. We hope to be back many times. All sites either had a fire ring, or cinder block fireplaces. We camped at Yellowstone Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Hidden Valley RV Resort, Tijeras, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for 6 days while visiting friends in Albuquerque. The park is on a hill and the sites are level, but narrow. Water, electric and sewer all were fine. About a third of the park appears to be long term residents. There is a nice pool and club house with a couple of treadmills. The park needs a little TLC, but is still a good place to stop for a few days. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Hidden Valley is a good name. The driveway to the park is next to a convenience gas station. You drive around and behind the station and up a steep driveway before descending into the "hidden valley". Other than the convenience store, Albuquerque is 10 miles west and has any shopping you need.

Riverview RV Park & Campground, Loveland, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice RV park, situated along the Big Thompson river. There are many sites that back right up to the river bank. They have a nice park with swings and a jungle gym; plus ample grass to throw a football and play volleyball. There is usually weekend entertainment in the pavilion. The dog run is a good size and grassy. There is a nice walking trail that borders the park and follows the river. There are long term residents in the park. The free WiFi service from Tengo was so-so. AT&T had some cell service, but there was no data service. Verizon had cell service and occasional data service. We normally had to drive 3 or 4 miles into Loveland for cellular data service. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Dakota Ridge RV Park, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, on hilly terrain, but the sites are level. Each site had a small patch of grass and picnic table. There are trees throughout the park, and a nice pool. Water, electric and sewer were all fine. I would certainly return the next time I'm in the area. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Williams / Exit 167 / Circle Pines KOA, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second time at Circle Pines. The owners are wonderful people and their staff are amazing. They all try very hard to make your stay nice. All the sites are located in the pine trees, and most, but not all have gaps for satellite reception. The park cable and WiFi work fine. AT&T and Verizon service, both cellular and data are excellent. There is a seasonal restaurant with simple, but tasty food (burgers, pizza, breakfast, and ribeye steaks). They have three nice fenced dog runs. There are two playgrounds for the kids, plus an indoor pool, and Go Kart Track. Williams is nice little tourist town with many good restaurants, and shops. We camped at Williams / Exit 167 / Circle Pines KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you need work done while at Circle Pines, we used A1 Mobile RV Service, John McKnight; to install a second A/C unit and fix a few other items. He was very knowledgeable and we were happy with his work. The office can give you his card and phone number. Bearizona, a drive-thru wildlife park and zoo, is must see while you are there.
