Pataha Creek RV Park, Pomeroy, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

A nice little park (20 spaces), clean and quiet, but it seems to have been designed by someone who doesn't know much about RV's. The utilities and in some cases the concrete picnic table pad are at the front of the site. I had to be 10' father forward than I would have ordinarily been, except to reach the utilities. So make sure you have extra lengths of hose and electrical cords. WIFI Internet access is weak, and there is no cable or antenna TV. The pull-thru sites are very short. It seems to fly in the face of the rigs that would actually need a pull-thru site. I can't imagine a big rig in one of those. They would be hanging out on one end or the other. Showers and restrooms are good. They have a port district resolution that prevents 'permanent' residents. But it appeared that most of the sites when we were there were occupied by other than recreational visitors. Pomeroy was a bit of a disappointment. A lot of stores were closed on Saturday afternoon. We would stay here again if we had a reason. But I doubt we will. We camped at Pataha Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Whispering Pines RV Park & Center, Cle Elum, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here for 1 night on the way to Seattle. It's a nice enough park. Very close to the freeway, so you hear "white noise" from the traffic. The river is on the other side of a high bank, so you can't view it from the campsites. We camped at Whispering Pines RV Park & Center in a Travel Trailer.

Coeur D'Alene Casino, Worley, Idaho

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Electrical service in 40' parking spaces. Very close proximity to other RVs. I recommend reserving a spot on the end where the right side of your RV faces a driving lane. That way you only have neighbors on the back side. We camped at Coeur D'Alene Casino in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Pleasant RV Park, Bothell, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

A little pricey but a nice park in a suburban city environment. Walking distance to a Safeway grocery store. Spaces are close together. They do some interesting pruning/shearing of fir trees and other evergreens to create partitions between sites. Get one of the back in spaces along the pond, especially if you have a large window to the rear. We camped at Lake Pleasant RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Birdland Bay RV Resort, Thompson Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The park layout has 2 sections. Lower is near the office with a view of the river. Upper is arranged in more of a circle, less view and closer to the railroad tracks. It's a bit of a walk between the two. Showers are coin operated ($1 for 10 minutes). We camped at Birdland Bay RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

A decent place to stay. The park could have been a little cleaner. Small amounts of trash in the camp sites, cigarette butts, bread ties etc. The WIFI is really only usable right around the office building. We camped at Mountain Shadows Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tucannon River RV Park (formerly Tucannon River Retreat), Dayton, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. Well kept with a lot of space between sites. No fire pits or picnic tables. Fire pits I get for cleanliness, but picnic tables seem like an expected amenity. There could be more trees near the RV spaces, and unfortunately the river is separated from the park by a grove of trees. But this is a nice place to stay. We camped at Tucannon River RV Park (formerly Tucannon River Retreat) in a Travel Trailer.

North Spokane RV Campground, Spokane, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

First of all it's not a campground. RV parking with utilities. If you are looking for RV parking to hook up and crash in Spokane this is the place. A lot of concrete and asphalt, compact, with few trees. We stayed here with our 25' travel trailer while helping our daughter move in Spokane. The place is clean and tidy. No RVs with plywood skirts and 100 gallon propane tanks that have not moved in 5 years. So you don't have that. But it's not a place you want hang around either. Crash and dash. They advertise cable TV. But there was no cable in our site, and over air channels were poor. I get better major network channels 65 miles away. The WIFI didn't work, at least with the password they wrote on my check in sheet. Showers are clean but spartan. No seating, no shelves in the shower, just kind of minimal. Bit of a mix up with our site. On-line I said I was bringing a 25' trailer but they didn't allow any length for a tow vehicle so they had me assigned to a 30' back in space. They said I could park the tow in an adjacent site, which was OK as I planned to unhitch anyway. But if we were doing a "park and go" I would not have been happy with the arrangement. So it is what it is. We camped at North Spokane RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Difficult access. You can only enter the park going westbound on I-84 from The Dalles. You can only leave westbound toward Hood River. So to travel in the area you wind up doing a lot of freeway exit reversals of course. No access to the river. There is a fence along the railroad right of way.

Wenatchee River County Park, Monitor, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. I liked the way the sites were laid out in the loops. They are angled in relation to each other, so you don't feel like it's a parking lot. There is a lot of openness between sites. A little highway and railroad noise, but not bad. We had a great river view out the back window of our trailer. We camped at Wenatchee River County Park in a Travel Trailer.

Beyond Hope Resort , Hope, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

This is the place that brought us to RVParkReviews.com. I am one to believe you get what you pay for, so I figured this place would be FANTASTIC given the somewhat eye popping nightly rate. Boy was I wrong! If not for happy hour at the lakeside restaurant this place would have been a complete bust. We needed a better way to vet RV parks, so here we are. We also experienced a 13 hour power outage, following what I would call a light breezy period in early evening. We camped at Beyond Hope Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Farragut State Park, Athol, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park (Snowberry Campground) 3 nights while in North Idaho. You have to be careful with site selection. Some sites have the picnic table and tent pad on the left side of the trailer when parked. I prefer to have that stuff on the right side (front) of the trailer, outside the door and under the awning. They don't show those sites in the maps. Watch out for pull-thru sites to the left of the road. Your awning ends up toward the road. There are two dump stations on the way out. We camped at Farragut State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Easton State Park, Easton, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We have been coming to lake Easton State Park for many years. It is very close to the I-90 freeway, but the noise from the highway really amounts to "white noise." Also there is a horsepower restriction on the lake, which eliminates the power boat and jet ski crowd. In the past we have canoed and sailed on the lake. There is swimming, but being a mountain lake the water is very cold year around. We camped at Lake Easton State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed at Horn Rapids RV Resort because we wanted to do some shopping in Kennewick and visit White Bluffs Brewing. It was early spring so the resort was fairly empty, except for long term tenants who probably commute weekly to work in the area. The park was OK, but I wouldn't want to be here in the summer, or when the place is full. We camped at Horn Rapids RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
