Mossyrock Park, Mossyrock, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the best campgrounds we have been to. The first night we stayed in site 33, a pull thru. It had a nice view of the lake. The next two nights we moved to sites 27/28 with friends. The sites had lots of room between them. The lawns were well kept. The lake is very low so the swimming area is not available, but people were swimming along the shore. Lots of people had boats. The park fills up on the weekends with families. We stayed in the main campground loop which had lots of trees for shade. We looked at the Birds Eye View area which was also very nice. No trees for shade, located on top of a hill away from the water. It was a relaxing place and we will certainly stay there again. We camped at Mossyrock Park in a Travel Trailer.

Bay Center / Willapa Bay KOA, Bay Center, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 4 nights in a 27' travel trailer. I had requested a back-in site that was in the shade. It was easy to back into and was flat. It was large gravel...no grass. Some of the pull-thru sites in the sun had a grassy area. The picnic table was very short. If you were using it to cook on there wasn't much room for eating. Most everyone had another table they brought with them.

This was a small KOA but very quiet and clean. The site we were at was big enough that you didn't feel crowded if someone was parked next to you.

They had a large fenced dog run which my dog liked. Staff was very friendly. There is no pool here but they did have a nice playground for kids.

The sewer dump is right by the office and we had to go up, around, and head back into the park so our hoses were on the correct side. A little awkward.

There was a nice path to the beach where you could get clams if you wanted to.

I would stay here again. We camped at Bay Center / Willapa Bay KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a restaurant in Bay Center right where you turn to go to the KOA. Had dinner there one night. Really good food

Winthrop / N. Cascades National Park KOA, Winthrop, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was a lovely KOA. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our daughter and family were in a cabin and she put us in a spot behind them. We backed into the spot but all the hook-ups were by the road. Good thing we had long cords. She said we could have driven straight in but then it could have been difficult to hook up.again if the grassy area was being used.

I was disappointed that there was no safe way to get down to the river. People had made paths down a steep bank to the river but it was not safe to take small kids down and once there, no shore to play on.

The pool was very nice and we spent all afternoon in it trying to cool off from the 99degree heat. They had a small playground that our 3yr old granddaughter liked to play at.

The sites were fairly close together but there was no one next to us so it felt like a large space. I would probably request a pull-thru next time.

Staff were always watering and moving sprinklers to keep the grass green.

I would stay here again if I were in the area. We camped at Winthrop / N. Cascades National Park KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Silverline Resort, Winthrop, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $38.00

Upon check-in I was greeted by a very friendly lady. When I asked about backing the trailer into the spot she immediately offered to send someone to help back us in. Boy, was I glad I took her up on it. He had to ask the people next door to move their truck so we had room to maneuver. The places are SO close together. We were in one of the two upper loops. Terrible location. Hard to get into and neighbors within 3 ft of us. If you stay there ask for a site by the lake. They have some pull- thru spots and the spots on the grass have more room between them.

The lake was beautiful and people were boating, SUP, fishing. We enjoyed watching the moon come up over the water and seeing lots of bats catching insects. We camped at Silverline Resort in a Travel Trailer.
