Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA, Las Vegas, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This park is outside of town about 12 miles and far enough from the highway to keep down the traffic noise. The only negative is that this park is full of stickers or goat heads as we call them in Texas. They were all over the site and you had to pick you shoes before entering your camper. No one was in the office when we got there and had to go up later and pay out. We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park. Owners very friendly and the spaces were great. Lots of room for rig and tow vehicle. They even make pizza on site and deliver to your front door! Very nice after long day traveling through South Dakota and Nebraska. Would stay here again. We camped at Limon KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Buffalo Ridge Camp Resort, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very family oriented with a swimming pool, train, minature golf, basketball court, and music venue for the evenings. It was a beautiful park with good views of the mountains surrounding. The parking is a bit tight at sites. We had to ask our neighbor to pull their truck up so we could get out the morning we left. Bigger vehicles make for pretty tight exiting. We camped at Buffalo Ridge Camp Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We traveled to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, The Badlands, and want to go back as there is so much to see in this area. Traveled through the Windcave National Park and definitely want to come back to go through the park.

Billings Village RV Park, Billings, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a lovely park, but older and tight if other vehicles were parked in front of your unit. Had we had someone come in with a larger rig, we could not have gotten out of our site. We spent two nights and thank goodness not crowded. Lots of permanent units in the park. We camped at Billings Village RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Red Trail Campground, Medora, North Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park was spacious. Our section had no shade, but there is ample shade throughout the park. Not sure why they put us over against the fence where there was none. The park was not full the two nights we were there. It was not a pull through as requested and there were several that were unoccupied for the two nights we stayed. They put us in a back in slot. The park is clean and in a good location for seeing the town. We camped at Red Trail Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Fell in love with this North Dakota little town. All businesses very convenient to walk to and great shopping available. Stop in and get an ice cream at the ice cream shop on main street. Teddy Roosevelt National Park and the Chateau de Mores is a must to put on your list! Be sure and stop at the convenient store and get their summer sausage of venison, buffalo and then the elk. Great lunches with cheese. Just wish we'd gotten more.

Tye RV Park, Tye, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The owner was very friendly. Good spaces - not much shade. Problems encountered were the park lies right in the pathway of Dyess Air Force Base flight pattern and it is really loud as the planes are not very far above ground at takeoff. We also encountered trouble cleaning our lines as the sewer drains are too high and we had to keep picking up the line to drain. We camped at Tye RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are in the area, look up the Harmony Creek Cowboy band website and see where they are playing if you like dancing and good country music! They play at the Wagon Wheel which isn't very far from the park. Great dance floor.

Silver City RV Park, Silver City, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, quiet park. Our site was tight for our 36 ft. travel trailer and was a back in site. Very hard to get into due to railing along the restroom/shower facilities. Would stay here again if could get a pull through. Most spaces are taken up by permanent renters. We camped at Silver City RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The Virginian Lodge RV Resort, Jackson, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $86.00
Overall Rating:

This was a nice RV park, but came to the conclusion that there are still bandits in Wyoming. This was a very costly park - the most expensive we stayed in on our entire trip from Texas to Alaska! Have stayed in more secure, quieter, parks. We were in a travel trailer. We camped at The Virginian Lodge RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Mile 0 Park & Campground, Dawson Creek, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park with Pioneer Village and water area for children. The site we had was downhill slant and had to turn trailer the opposite direction as directed to pull in to unhook. Park is shady and very clean. Would stay here again. Be sure and make reservations as they seem to be very busy in the summer! We camped at Mile 0 Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
