Robidoux RV Park, Gering, Nebraska

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

A true gem of a campground. Definitely one of our top 5! Beautiful grounds and large to huge sites. Full hookups with 50 amp and good cable, but you have to use their remote. Concrete parking pads and patios. Paved roads with easy access. Pull through and pull in sites. Yes, pull in-back out. Sounds weird, but it works well. Bathroom and laundry facilities are great and clean. Large grassed area in the center of the park. Large play area for the kids. This is THE place to stay while visiting all the tourist attractions in the area. We will be back. We camped at Robidoux RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sweetwater Fairgrounds, Rock Springs, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very good overnight stay. Basically a gravel area with individual sites fenced out. Utilities are behind each site so you may need long connections. Large sites with enough room to park beside your RV. Individual bathroom/shower facilities are very clean. When arriving, the caretaker came out to meet me and helped select a suitable site. No cable and TV reception was 4 channels on a HD antenna. Good level site. Probably one of the best places in this area. We would stay here anytime we are in the area. We camped at Sweetwater Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground), Snowville, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Required a RV Park with a bathroom, this wasn't it so we did not stay. Went through the process of self registration but decided to check out the restroom. Couldn't find one. There was a locked laundry room, but, no code available. No staff either, at 3:30 on a Friday. Sites appeared okay with long pull through some. Just didn't work out for us. We camped at Earp & James Hitching Post (formerly Lottie-Dell Campground) in a Motorhome.

Country RV Village, Heyburn, Idaho

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice overnight stay. Decent sized sites. Gravel roads and level sites. Clean and nice restrooms and showers. Great laundry with 3 newer washers and dryers, at only $1 each. Full hookups with 50AMP. Grass sites with picnic tables and grills. Only problem is the closeness of the Freeway. Use a little noisemaker! We camped at Country RV Village in a Motorhome.

Elk City / Clinton KOA, Canute, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice campground right off I-40. Nicely paved road and site pad. FHU with cable TV. Wi-Fi weak, but works. I had no problems navigating my rig to or into the site. My motorhome and toad are 58 feet. Short hike to Clinton Lake down the marked trail. Freeway noise is surprisingly low. Good food in their shop, BBQ beef sandwich was delicious. Trees provide some shade. Sites are a bit close, but they seem to try and keep an empty between campers. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Motorhome.

Tucumcari KOA, Tucumcari, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped for an overnighter, but stayed for 3 nights due to weather. Stayed in a full HU with cable TV. Gravel roads and mostly gravel sites. Sites are very level. Have a picnic table and BBQ pit. Some trees offer shade in areas. Very friendly staff that takes you o your site and lines you up. Decent laundry with 6 machines each. Pool, which is still closed. Lots of choices for types of lots. 50/30/20 AMP with cable sites are opposing shared utility, so they are a bit close. They do try to keep campers separated if they can. Other sites (particularly the 50/30 with water only) are much larger. 14 of the tent sites have shaded areas. Breakfast is good and reasonably priced. Overall a nice CG to stop at. Whether for an overnighter, or a couple of days, I would stay here again. We camped at Tucumcari KOA in a Motorhome.

Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park, Pendleton, Oregon

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice cg to stop in on your way across I-84. Easy driving roads to your site. Easy access pull-through. Nice and fairly level concrete with patio area, picnic table and grass. Only problem area was the water connection, it is at ground level and points downward. Been here before and never encountered this problem. A hole as been dug out underneath so that you can actually connect to it. I had to use a Y connection to point the connector upward to connect my filter. We camped at Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Village of Trees RV Resort, Declo, Idaho

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Quite a nice park really. Staff was friendly and cheerful. Nice wide roads and level parking spots. Sites have some trees and grass on both sides. Short walk down to the riverfront. I stayed in the A loop, which is the farthest from the highway. Still some noise, but not really bad. Decent cable TV and wifi (which is free.) We will mark this down as a "stay again" when traveling through. We camped at Village of Trees RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pacific Beach State Park, Pacific Beach, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Nice level back-in spot on the river. Sites are a little closer than we prefer, but not bad at all. We were here on Labor Day Weekend, so it was packed.

(The $1 nightly rate was actually $0, but this site won't accept $0) We camped at Pacific Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Fort Flagler State Park, Nordland, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Always a well maintained and beautiful park. Campground Hosts do an excellent job of keeping the sites clean and picked up. Bathrooms are clean and nicely maintained and supplied. Lot of hiking, sightseeing, and history to see and do here. Our favorite Western Washington State Park. Our site had a fairly decent view of the bay.

(Costs of $1 are in just because they don't accept $0 on this site!) We camped at Fort Flagler State Park in a Motorhome.

North Rim Campground (NPS Campground), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Dry camping only. Left pull-through site. Leaves little room for getting in and out of the RV. Had to shorten the awning extension. Spacious campground though. Nicely treed with picnic tables and fire pits. Site not overly level, leans left to right, along the hill line. Most sites in the cg are not level. Watch the dump station entrance. Very tight and curvy drive into the station. Nice walk to the Lodge along Transept Trail, about 1 1/2 miles. We camped at North Rim Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

North Campground (NPS Campground), Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Dry camping sites only. Site is dirt and a left pull-through, which I hate. Site is too shallow to allow me to put the awning out. It reaches the road. Rock wall on the other side. Otherwise, a nice site with the picnic table slightly above the parking site. Spacious and nicely treed. Short walk to the Visitor Center where you can catch the bus into the park or into town. Sunrise Point is on the other side of the campground. Not too long a walk there either. We camped at North Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Highline Trail RV Park, Boulder, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Outstanding hidden gem of a park. Some of the largest sites we have ever seen and lots of open areas. Felt more like staying in a park than a campground. Hugh pull through sites (could have fit 4 large RVs in there!) Level gravel site. Shade trees and large grassed in areas surround you. Worth way more than their Good Sam rating. Some TV, good wi-fi and adequate cell phone coverage. No pool. We camped at Highline Trail RV Park in a Motorhome.

Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (Concessionaire Operated) , Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Fairly decent pull through site. Lots of trees around, be careful with big rigs, some tight fits. Site was reasonably level, gravel. Gravel roads also. Easy walking access to visitor center, restaurant, stores, laundry, etc. Boat ramp, swimming beach, and marina with rentals is very close by also. Check-in was easy and convenient. No TV and just barely had cell. Wifi is available in restaurants and the visitor center only. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (Concessionaire Operated) in a Motorhome.
