Majestic Oaks Park, Lake Ozark, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very clean with a nice pool. The people who run the park are very nice. This park was pretty much off of the beaten track and coming in at twilight it was a little difficult to find. The owners called and checked in with us on the day we were to arrive to give us more complete directions. We camped at Majestic Oaks Park in a Travel Trailer.

Abilene State Park, Tuscola, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park, but very hidden away. They have a very nice pool. The sites are pretty tight if you have slideouts though. There were deer wandering through the campsites. We camped at Abilene State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Las Cruces KOA, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in this park two years ago when it was "Best View". We loved it then and it is nicer now. We were sorry to see that it wasn't busier. The view at night is really beautiful. It is a very convenient location to Old Mesilla. We plan to stay here on our next trip to Las Cruces. We camped at Las Cruces KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Taos Valley RV Park & Campground, Taos, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park. We wished we could have stayed another night. They are very convenient to all of the shopping and restaurants. You will need to unhook though. It is not close enough to walk anywhere. I do think that there is some kind of shuttle that goes between the park and town though. This park will be a stopping point again in the future. We camped at Taos Valley RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Denver East / Strasburg KOA, Strasburg, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very clean park. There was some road noise which did not bother me, but then we sleep with the a/c on. They have nice store with an ice cream parlor. If you are traveling with horses, they allowed people to have them there as well. We camped at Denver East / Strasburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Eugene T Mahoney State Park, Ashland, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We only spent one night at this park, but there were lots of activities for kids. The spaces were pretty level and if you have slideouts there appeared to be plenty of room. We camped at Eugene T Mahoney State Park in a Travel Trailer.

We went out of our way to camp in this park again. The view alone is worth stopping. Don't forget, there is no water hookup, but there is a very nice clean shower area. We camped at Pikes Peak State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Beaver's Bend Resort Park, Broken Bow, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

The RV sites are very close together, but this is a pretty park, with great places to hike. They have a decent camp store and a restaurant. It was a little disappointing about the sites and if we had slideouts, it really would have been difficult. I probably wouldn't camp there again. We camped at Beaver's Bend Resort Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very clean park. The store is well equipped and we were able to access the Wifi connection by sitting near the pool on a porch swing. We have stayed at this park twice before when we visit relatives in the area. We camped at Minneapolis Northwest KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Burlington Bay Campground, Two Harbors, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

This park was less than one mile from the very pleasant town. The local tourist bureau is next door. The office was able to give us the names of two businesses in town that had free Wifi. This was a great point for sightseeing in the area. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Burlington Bay Campground in a Travel Trailer.
