Lobster Buoy Campsite, South Thomaston, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at Lobster Buoy Campgrounds in July 2017 and I can say to us this was a hidden gem. It was by far the quietest campground we have stated in. We were just steps from them ocean. It is a smaller family owned and operated. There are some rules that someone going there would need to know. 1st is they do not allow you to run air conditioning or generators, but with the ocean breeze we found that we didn't need it at all. We had 15 amp electric and water. We needed the extension cord to reach the pedestal. The sites were not the most level that have seen but we were able to get level. They believe in old time camping where people need to entertain themselves. They do have their own beach that you can fish or kayak from. The other campers were mostly people that come back year after year but everyone is so friendly they made us feel like we knew them for a long time. We camped at Lobster Buoy Campsite in a Travel Trailer.

Southwoods RV Resort, Byron, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This campground was recommended to us for its location and I am so glad we choose it. The staff was very friendly and over the top on customer service. They went way above with us and they have earned customers for life. The staff and owners really care about the grounds and the campers and it shows. I loved the two pools with the one with adult only hours. Very clean big rig friendly. A lot of seasonal but they were all very friendly. Very pet friendly. We camped at Southwoods RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
