Lewis & Clark Golf & RV Park, Astoria, Oregon
Date of Stay:
August, 2017 -
$42.00
Overall Rating:
Nice looking park, with easy access for our 5th wheel. However we'll look else where when we return to Astoria. Boy what an attitude they had when we checked in, even though we'd not caused any issues other than not stopping exactly at the 'Stop Here Stop sign" for registration. After getting an earful, I finally asked what major crime or sin had I committed. This was coming from an office worker with the owners present.
The TV antenna reception was not bad, with the 4 major stations and golden oldies movies and tv shows. Finally, the WIFI isn't worth trying to connect to, it's a joke. We
camped at Lewis & Clark Golf & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Scandia RV & Mobile Park, Bend, Oregon
Date of Stay:
October, 2016 -
$56.00
Overall Rating:
Great customer service. We had a mechanical problem with our RV causing us to stay only 1 of the 3 nights, we'd paid for upon arrival. Since there is a NO refund policy we requested a credit for the 2 unused nights, which was granted. We'd planned to swing back through Bend on our way home from our 6 week trip touring the 3 National Parks in Montana and Wyoming. About 5 weeks later we called for another 3 nights reservation using our promised 2 night credit. Long story short, we were given our requested 3 night reservation that included our credit and a reduced fee for the third night. No hassles no problems. That's customer service. With our experience at Sccandia, we'll mark this RV park as a favorite in our list of places to stay. We camped at Scandia RV & Mobile Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Ask to stay in the RV area. The long term areas are not all that bad. We stayed there for our first reservation because the RV sites were full. But the RV parking area is more of a vacation feel to it. Easy access to shopping at Albertson'a, Walmart, ACE Harspdware and Fred Meyers store and Gas station. Easy access off or back onto Hwy 97. Minutes from down town Bend or the Old Mill District shopping areas.

The Virginian Lodge RV Resort, Jackson, Wyoming
Date of Stay:
September, 2016 -
$83.00
Overall Rating:
Since there is NO competion close by so they are charging what they can get away with. A fair price would be in the $45 - $60 range. Nothing special at the Virginian, just close to town. They do keep the park clean, neighbors are close, but slides outs don't impact next door neighbors. Wifi had good signal strength, cable TV was ok. Couldn't find NBC station, everything else was available. We camped at The Virginian Lodge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
Nani's for a nice Itilian dinner, visit Teton Village, Resturants for lunch were enjoyable. Might see a Moose on the way over or back. Fall foliage colors were very bright.

Ponderosa Campground, Cody, Wyoming
Date of Stay:
September, 2016 -
$45.00
Overall Rating:
Nicest park in town. A bit close, next doors awning was just a few feet from our slide out. Windy weather while we were there, no shade in the pull through parking east of the offices. Back in spaces nearer to the offices looked to be a bit tight for RV's with slides. Bring CASH or CHECKBOOK. They do not accept credit cards and seem to be proud of the fact "we've never had a credit card machine". They do have an ATM in the office. Clean laundry areas $2.00 to wash and $1.50 to dry. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Pay $5.00 more for a pull though for motor homes and RVs with slides.

Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park, West Yellowstone, Montana
Date of Stay:
September, 2016 -
$65.00
Overall Rating:
In the older section south of the offices. The back in space was tight for our 34 ft 5th wheel. We had the jockey back and forth to squeeze in between a couple of trees, which had no purpose other than aesthetics. Ample room for our slide outs. No place to park our tow vehicle so off to the overflow parking site, a short walk but in rainy conditions a pain. Pull throughs looked to have ample room for all types of RV's. As well as did the newer parking sections west of the offices. During cold weather, we HAD to disconnect the water hose each night and, of course, reconnect it in the mornings or pay a $50 fee for each time we failed to do so. They've got to get a handle on this issue . It's definitely not customer friendly. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Longer trailers and motor homes get a pull through, it's worth the extra $$$.

Eagle Nest RV Resort, Polson, Montana
Date of Stay:
September, 2016 -
$43.00
Overall Rating:
Best RV park we've stayed at. This is a real 5 star park. Professionally operated, one of the cleanest you'll find. Friendly staff, helpful and interested in your comfort and well being. They have Happy Hour every day, BYOB or drink and snack. We were just too busy to make it, shame on us. Sites were just right for our 34' 5th wheel and lots of room for our 3 slides. Several pull throughs, back ins were easy to use. Very good wifi with 5 or 6 wifi channels with very good cable, stations not the run of the mill tv. It's worth making a detour to stay here. It's backed into a very nice 18 hole golf course. Our neighbors claimed the nearby fishing was very good. We camped at Eagle Nest RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:
Very clean, professionally managed. Nice park with beach and water front. Our site was close to the beach area and cost's were higher that farther away. We felt that for our stay it was worth the extra $$$. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Close to the city center, shopping and restaurants. We'll plan to stay there another time in the future.
