Ocala North RV Resort, Reddick, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

I have to explain why we had this high rate and why only 2 points overall rate. We picked this campground because the mostly good ratings (specially the clean showers and restrooms). We made a reservation via phone for a whole week, they didn't make any discount for weekly rate so we have to pay $245 (7 times the daily rate) and they charge us $50 deposit on our credit card in front. After we arrived, we were schockt about the condition of this campground, the sites and specially the poor, old and dirty showers and restrooms. This facts and the many wrecked and poor RV`s of some full-timers (there are a lot of permanents on this campground) let us decided that we like to leave the campground on the next day. In the morning I canceled the reservation and the manager told me to charge me a daily rate. I wait for my review over a week but they didn't refund me the different between our deposit and the regular daily rate. If they didn't promise me that there charge me only the daily rate I would give this campground 4 points but they loose the 2 points because of there unfairness. (I try to upload a picture of my "time neighboring", restrooms and road conditions of the campground.) We camped at Ocala North RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Scenic Mountain RV Park & Campground, Milledgeville, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is on of the little diamonds between the mostly overpaid or/and ugly campgrounds in this area. They take care of it, keep the campground clean and well maintained and invest money if needed. This was the second time that we stayed over night at this campground and it is a pleasure to see that the owner did what he announced last year, he build a second bathhouse with privat bathrooms. There is also a smaller but very nice, fenced dog run and a dog wash station with cold and warm water. The sides and streets are gravel but pretty level with a lot of grass areas around. I would recommend this campground to a friend. We camped at Scenic Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort, Murphy, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is well maintained, the streets are easy to navigate, and the sides are big enough for any size of RV. Each sides provides a big, level concrete pad with patio, picnic table, a fire pit and a very big grass area on each side of the motorhome. The owner was very friendly, drove me around with his golf cart and let me pic my side. The wifi signal was pretty good, the speed was fast enough for web browsing and checking my emails. The only reason why I give this campground "only" a 7 is, that I never saw dirtier bathrooms on any campground for a whole week! In one bathroom there was a cotton swab in the middle of the floor for the last four days of our stay, the whole floor and the shower tube was so dirty that nobody would like to use it. I checked the bathrooms every day and in my opinion they didn't clean it the whole week. - The campground is (specially for this area) 9 points - The sides are 10 points - The bathrooms a 0 points. We camped at Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Texas T Campground, Cornersville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice and well maintained campground with a lot of love in it. The streets and sides are gravel but not dusty. Each campsite has grass on each side and there is a lot of green space to walk and play with dogs. The private bath rooms are a little bit older but very clean, only the showers are a bit to small for a 6.5 ft guy like me. ;-) We enjoyed our short stay at this campground an we will stay there again if we are in this area. A very nice campground for a fair price!!! We camped at Texas T Campground in a Motorhome.

Memphis KOA , Marion, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

This campgrounds is very dated like the most KOA campgrounds. The streets are gravel and very small, the sites are also gravel with a - mostly broken - concrete pad, which is right wide enough to stay with the weels on it. The bath house was very old and not clean at all, also the two paper towel dispenser and the toilet paper on two of the tree toilets was empty. The free wifi was visible but there was no chance to connect any device to the network, so it was useless. I wouldn't recommend this campground to a friend. We camped at Memphis KOA in a Motorhome.

Catherine's Landing, Hot Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

A nice, well maintained campground, specially if you travel with kids. If they would clean the restrooms more often I gave the campground one point more and if they would have any informations about good sam discount on there website or on the door or in the office at the checkin they could have again one point more. Also at the reservation via phone and at the checkin in the office nobody asked us for a discount card, so we thought that they didn't accept any. Later I checked the good sam website and was very surprised that this resort is a member of good sam. So I had to walk to the office the get my discount, not very customer friendly. We camped at Catherine's Landing in a Motorhome.

Shady Pines RV Park, Texarkana, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

The RV park is brand new, very clear and well maintained with a lot of grass, concrete sides and a nice pond. The showers and the restroom was very clean (yes you read right, only one restroom for the men side, which is not enough for a campground. The wifi was one of the fastest internet connections which I ever had on a campground. The stuff was very friendly and at night here is not so much traffic on the street so it was very quiet. We camped at Shady Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

I-35 RV Park, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Overall a good place for over night parking. A nice big pool area, game and a fitness room and a free breakfast. The streets are paved, the sides are gravel/sand mix with grass on each side. They also have a smaller driving range and a nice dog area, only the free wifi was a pain in the a... but Verizon offered us with 3 bars a strong LTE signal so we used our smartphone as a hotspot. On the negative side are the restrooms and the shower (yes THE shower) because they have only one shower and two toilets on the men side, which is not enough for a campground in this size! We camped at I-35 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Buckhorn Lake Resort, Kerrville, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

One of my favorite RV resorts in Texas, if they would clean the showers and restrooms every day (not every second day) I would give this resort a 10! Big concrete sides and wide paved streets make it easy to navigate and hook up the RV. There is also a nice fanced dog run and a very quiet area for adults only with a extra pool, restrooms and showers. The internet is good but the wifi signal is not very strong but for around $25 per month you can rent your own Internet box and with your wifi router you enjoy your own strong internet connection. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Houston East RV Resort, Baytown, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

A lot of permanents stays here but this is not a problem, the campground is pretty clean. Only the restrooms and showers need more attention, if you have only 3 showers you have to clean them more often, also the water pressure is to low to enjoy the shower. The wifi is good enough to checking your emails or writing this review. The stuff was very friendly, the campground is close to the I10 but very quite. Each campsite have a picnic table, trees and gras on each side but a only 40 psi water pressure. If you can use your own bathroom and you will stay only a couple of days or over night I would recommend this campground to a friend. We camped at Houston East RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cajun Palms RV Resort, Henderson, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

If you like to have fun at the weekend this campground is pretty good, if you didn't like party stay away from Friday to Sunday! We stay only one night from Monday to Tuesday at this campground and it was very quiet. The restrooms and showers are very old and need some renovations, also a blower instead of paper towels and to charge the guests $5 per night for wifi is not state of the art. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Milton / Gulf Pines KOA, Milton, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is nice but the showers and restrooms were not clean and for this size not enough available. Our sides was very dusty but with grass on each side. The wifi doesn't work but the Verizon signal was strong enough so we used our cell phone as a hot spot. Each side have a concert patio, picnic table and a fire ring, the pool area is also pretty nice. We camped at Milton / Gulf Pines KOA in a Motorhome.

Travelers Campground, Alachua, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We stay the second time on this campground on our way to north. The place is located near the I75 but not to close so it's not to noisy at night. The restrooms are clean but very old and need to be modernized, the wifi is strong and works well. The overnight section is very dusty but they have a nice new fenced dog run. I wouldn't recommend this campground for holidays but for one or two nights it's OK. We camped at Travelers Campground in a Motorhome.

Grand Oaks Resort & Museum, Lady Lake, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is not a "normal" campground, you rent a side on a huge horse ranch, where mostly nothing is walkable.

You can rent rent a golf cart but only for a whole week ($150) not per day, if you didn't have a towable, scooter or golf cart behind your motorhome you may have a problem to reach the showers or restrooms without having a wet shirt wen you arrive.

The view at of work window is very nice (especially because we were alone on the whole campground).

The wifi doesn't work so we have to use our smart phone as a hotspot, AT&T provides us 3 bars LTE.

They have a huge fenced dog park, separate for small and bigger dogs, the sides are pretty level, long enough for each kind of motorhome and towable and very spacious to each side.

They didn't provide cable TV on the sides but we received 24 HD channels over antenna. We camped at Grand Oaks Resort & Museum in a Motorhome.

Carrabelle Beach RV Resort, Carrabelle, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We visit this campground 2010 when everything was new, now it was the second time to stay here.

What can I say, they build new cottages and some new sites but they didn't renew anything of the "old" part of the campground.

The restrooms and showers are old and not nice anymore (sometimes it's a good idea to change a restroom door or the shower curtains or fix some issues).

I was very unsatisfied to see this campground after 6 years again and I be sure, it is the last time.

To close the showers and restrooms between 9:30 and 11 am for cleaning (check out time is also 11 am) is an absolute NO-GO!!! We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.
