Hollywood Casino RV Park, Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

A nice campsite for overnight parking if you like to gamble in the casino.

The sites are concrete and the streets wide enough to back in the sites.

They offer a shuttle service to the casino with pick-up and drop-off at your side. The wifi doesn't work at our visit, but AT&T offered us 3 bars LTE so Wochenende use our smart phone as a hotspot.

The restrooms are not great but clean enough to use them. The sides are pretty level and have grass on each side. We camped at Hollywood Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cajun Palms RV Resort, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

In the season or weekend is this campground like a fun park (a little bit like a cruise without a ship).
When we arrived in the early afternoon, everywhere people who driving around with there golf carts, loud music and a beer in the hand.
We expected a sleepless night but after 9 pm they closed the bar and the guests went to there trailers and one hour later nobody was outside anymore.
I wouldn't recommend the campground to a friend unless he like to make party. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Katy Lake RV Resort, Katy, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

A very clean and safe campground with al the amenities what you nee to stay for a couple of days.

Our side was a pull in side with a nice few over the pond, the streets are asphalt and easy to navigate, the side was wide enough for any size of motorhome and a towing car.

They provide a nice pool area, entertainment room, clean showers and restrooms and a very big faced dog run with washing station and hairdryer for pets.

The campground is completely fenced and have a automatic gate for safety, they offered also a free air station for tire inflation. We camped at Katy Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

RiverBend RV Park and Campground, Luling, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This campground have the basics which I need for overnight parking.
The restrooms and showers are not great but clean enough for using, the sides are gravel, grass on both sides and long enough for my motorhome.
The wifi doesn't work with my ipad on my site, they have a small pool and the campground is very quiet.
I wouldn't stay there for my holidays but for overnight parking it was OK.
AT&T provides me 2 bars LTE which wag good enough to using my smart phone as a hotspot. We camped at RiverBend RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Buckhorn Lake Resort, Kerrville, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This is on of my favorite campground in the US.
Wide asphalt streets, wide concrete sides with nice golf grass on each side.
They have 2 pools (each with a whirlpool), one pool area is for adult only which is good for relaxing.
They also have plenty of green area with trees for walking with the dog near a creek and also a very big faced dog area.
Only the wifi isn't fast enough for modern web surfing, so we used our smart phone as a hotspot, the AT&T signal was with 4 to 5 bars LTE very strong.
On thing which I didn't like is that they have air dryers in the restrooms instead of paper towels. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Lost Alaskan RV Park, Alpine, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is very nice, the roads and sides are gravel but not dusty.
The sides have grass on each side, the premium sides have also a concrete patio.
A lot of workers stay permanent at the campground but this is not a issue.
The wifi is (as on almost every campground) not worth to connect the computer to it, we used our smartphone as a hot spot, the AT&T signal was with 3 bars LTE very strong. We camped at Lost Alaskan RV Park in a Motorhome.

LoW-Hi RV Ranch, Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

The LoW-Hi RV Ranch is a simple but very nice and with much love decorated campground and the proprietress was very friendly to us.

The whole campground is gravel but not dusty, the sides are spacious with some "greens" on the side.

The wifi signal wasn't strong and fast enough for email or web browsing at our site, so we used our smartphone as a hotspot, AT&T provides us 2 bars LTE.

The campground is with 2 fenced pet areas (for smaller and bigger dogs) and a walk site very pet friendly!

We enjoyed our stay at this campground. We camped at LoW-Hi RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

The MotorCoach Resort, Chandler, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This is not a resort and I can't understand why somebody can give this parking lot a "Excellent" rating!!!

The pictures of there website and the high price lead to believe you that you will find a small, nice resort but you will find a nothing from a resort except the showers and restrooms.

The "resort have no gate, the dog area is only dirt, where they store old lanterns.

Tomorrow I will go to the office trying to get my money back! We camped at The MotorCoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Bakersfield RV Resort, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is very nice, the sides fine gravel with a concrete patio but no picnic table.
They have a nice pool, a smal gym very clean showers and restrooms.
The stuff was very friendly and let me choose the side where I like to stay.
The restaurant offered good food and as a campground guest you get 10% discount on the food.
The wifi is not so fast as they wrote on there website but fast enough for email and web browsing.
To charge us $2 for a second dog is in this price range not OK. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Kit Fox RV Park, Patterson, California

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is 95% an ugly and dusty workers campground!

When we arrived a unfriendly host (owner?) was sitting in his office.

I knocked on the door and asked for a site for my motorhome.

Visibly annoyed, he referred me to me to pick one of the free spaces in the first row and come back tomorrow in his office to pay.

The grass what you see on the photo of the website is only in the front of the row, all campers stay on a (in small pieces broken) concrete pad with dusty gravel on both sides. Don't trust the pictures on their website!!!

The restrooms and showers were very dirty and smelling like an old sewer hose.

If I was not in the middle of nowhere I would have driven away! We camped at Kit Fox RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mountain Gate RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is nice, with level concrete sides and enough clean restrooms and showers, the wifi signal is strong only the speed is awful so Wochenende use our smart phone as a hotspot (AT&T provides 2 bars LTE).

What I didn't like on this (and the most other campgrounds) is, that they give the overnight guest always the poorer sites and told you: "no other sites are available" (in our row alone where 4 nicer and bigger sites free and stayed free for the whole night).

And to charge us a extra fee for our dogs ($1 per day and pet) is not up-to-date. We camped at Mountain Gate RV Park in a Motorhome.

Riverwalk RV Park, Fortuna, California

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

I can't realize why people rate the showers and restrooms of this campground with excellent or very clean.

They have only two restrooms and two urinal on the men side which is not enough for this size of campground!

The sides are very close to each other so you can't use the awning.

Maybe 3/4 of the sides are long time or full time campers with a lot of stuff around the trailers, so its looks a little bit like a trailer park.

The wifi signal is strong but because of to much users the download speed is very low.

The two pet areas are unfenced and there size is around 6'x20' and 15'x15'.

The only good thing of this campground is that you can walk to the Eel River Brewery Company. We camped at Riverwalk RV Park in a Motorhome.

Shoreline RV Park & Campground, Crescent City, California

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

In my opinion a ideal campground for overnight parking, easy access pretty level gravel sides with a concert patio and 50 amp full hookup.
The host was very friendly and let us choose a side between a ocean few motorhome only and a pull-thru side (we choose the ocean view side).
Between the sides is enough space with grass and a concert patio but no picnic table.
The wifi signal is on the hole campground very strong, the download speed is not great but good enough for emails and web surfing and AT&T provides 2 bars LTE.
Two of the three showers were out of order and only 2 restrooms are available. In my opinion not enough for this size of campground, they need a second building in the back of the campground. We camped at Shoreline RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

The Redwoods RV Resort, Crescent City, California

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Don't trust the shiny pictures on there website, 90% of the sides are in the dirt with no grass around you!

The campground is side by side to a mobile home park with no fence.

We booked a Full Hookup Premium Pull-Thru Side with 50 amp.

At the office they told us to keep the storage compartment locked because they have a lot of thefts in the last time on the campground.

The first side which they offered us was too small to use the slide outs (at the reservation we indicate the wide of our motorhome with 14').

Then they gave us an other dirty side neat the end area which offered only 30 amp. I drove back to the office and told the lady at the counter that we didn't like this place, she marked the available sides on a map and told us we can choose on but they were all only 30 amp.

We picked one, hook up our coach, tried to connect our macbook to the wifi which doesn't exist at this side.

I connected the cable TV, make a scan and received 11 channels in a really bad quality.

Because we didn't feel comfortable and safe it was the first time that we leave a campground. We camped at The Redwoods RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Blue Heron RV Park, Hornbrook, California

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

If you looking for a familiar, quiet campground with a nice few over the river, sometimes wild horses around you and you didn't need TV and telephone ore internet service is this campground right for you.

They offer wifi, but the signal was only strong enough near the office and the ping was with 750ms awful and AT&T service does not exist in this area, we also didn't receive any TV channels with our antenna.

But sometimes is nice to relax without TV, telephone or internet, so we enjoyed the two nights and the visit of a herd of wild horses and the two gentle horses from the owners.

A drop of bitterness is to charge us a $2 extra fee per night for our dogs. We camped at Blue Heron RV Park in a Motorhome.
