Riverbend RV Resort, South Tamworth, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Small campground, with very spacious sites for the area. On site owners are nice, sites and grounds were clean. Nice pool, small playground for youngsters and a riverwalk. If you like activities suchas bingo, karaoke, socializing, this place is not for you. If, like me, you are looking for a quiet "base camp" to explore this beautiful area, then this campground excels. Pets are welcome. Excellent WiFi throughout campground. We camped at Riverbend RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lighthouse County Park, Port Hope, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I loved it here. We stayed for only four nights but wish it was longer. Sites are close, but the location makes it worthwhile, right on Lake Huron. Excellent WiFi, full hookups, and a beautiful site make this one place I'd return to again and again.

The parking area for our tow dolly was across the street, two of the employees moved it to a convenient spot with their four wheeler.

Employees were polite and helpful, the lighthouse is fantastic, and the area is amazingly beautiful. We camped at Lighthouse County Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to visit the Huron City Museum (nearby), the Port Austin Farmer's Market, and take a tour around Elkton to see the wind farms. Swimming at the park is non-existent (too many rocks) but Port Austin's Bird Creek Park is nearby, along with many roadside turnouts for swimming along M-25. And don't forget to visit Grindstone City for a giant ice cream cone.

Sennebec Lake Campground, Appleton, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Owners were really nice. Gave us a site close to the swimming beach and playground. Had our 6 year old granddaughter with us, it was very convenient for her to run over and play. My main complaint with the site is that it was grass, and wet/soggy from recent rains. This made it impossible to use our leveling jacks, even with boards placed underneath. Sites are small, but there was no one in the adjacent sites, so it was okay. We camped at Sennebec Lake Campground in a Motorhome.
