Lynchburg NW/Blue Ridge Parkway KOA (formerly Wildwood Campground), Monroe, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I liked the place and if you are going hiking it is the best. I am not sure if we will drive to the top of the mountain to stay if I were not a hiker or woods person. Great staff, lots were good size and we loved the fire rings. It is a gathering place for woodsman and the folks are nice who help you get to the site. Not a bad place to come off the parkway and stay. We camped at Lynchburg NW/Blue Ridge Parkway KOA (formerly Wildwood Campground) in a Motorhome.

Raccoon Holler Campground, Glendale Springs, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Choose your site wisely; phones do not work and no internet. However staff is great, place is pretty and a good place to camp. Great sites; big and easy to use. Level and a great place to walk. Don't miss the church with Fresca in nearby town, an easy walk from the campground. If they had internet, we would go every year. We camped at Raccoon Holler Campground in a Motorhome.

Not a bad place to stay for short time.. you are kind of on your own... but a golf course is right there and is the only game in town as far as a place to stay... We camped at Gordonia-Alatamaha State Park in a Motorhome.
