Creekwood Farm RV Park, Waynesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Called about 3 hours out and reserved a pull-through site. Then a heavy rain and construction slowed us down. Instead of around 4:40 we arrived at 5:50. Wonderful lady waited for us and we followed her to our site. She was so nice and the CG looked great also so we decided to stay 2 nights (if not for an appointment we would have stayed 4 nights). When he noticed we were disconnecting, a staff member came to help even though beyond his working hours. Our 5er is 43' plus the truck so even disconnected we were tight to the road with the truck parked parallel. The site was gravel and close but we only had neighbors on one side. No one was behind us which was great as I needed to back up to make the turn leaving. Utilities including WIFI and cable worked great - Verizon too. I plan on returning, but am a little concerned on departure on the narrow roads if a sharp turn is required. My neighbor came over and said he lifted his levelers and was connected in case he needed to back up for me to get out. He did not have to move but knew it would be tight. Staff, cannot say enough about how great all are. We camped at Creekwood Farm RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Main Street in town is a great experience. Visit Buttered Biscuit for breakfast. Lots of good restaurants around. It would take at least 5 days to enjoy the area and CG properly

Boomland RV Park & Campground, Charleston, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

A search brought this up while traveling. Ended up stopping on the return trip too. OK, it is a field with full hook up pull through sites. Site was dry after a night of rain. No one in the 'office', a little info on an envelope, add $12.00 and enjoy. Really! There were very few there that never move but were neat and clean. We did not unhook and walked to Wally's restaurant for a very good dinner. If in the area I'd surely stop again. Site is mostly grass with a little gravel. Not all sites have 50 amp. My ems said L2 had only 90 volts at the 1st 50 amp I checked but 2 others we stayed in were fine. At $12 for an overnight it is a bargain. We camped at Boomland RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Ozark Country Campground, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was friendly and helpful. The park was clean and well kept. We had great neighbors as well. Location is fantastic. Very pleased with our stay. Now the not so good part. The park was sold. The new owners have brought in 20 cabins so far. They look very nice and have taken some of the best sites. They brought in people from Jamaica to work in hotels about 9 months of tourist season. The people were no problem and vans take them to work and bring them back. Not sure how many, if any short term sites will remain in the end. Sadly, we felt the need to look at other CGs for return trips. We camped at Ozark Country Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga, Rossville, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We had a fantastic stay here for 8 nights and is reflected in the rate. New owners are working to make this great park even better. Our dogs enjoyed the dog park. A pool is also available. There is a pavilion with grills if you have a crowd and wish to use it. Neighbors said the showers were always clean although we did not use them. All staff was super friendly and helpful. The sites on the right are long term sites on those on the left are for short term stays. A tent area is in the rear.

The park is actually in GA just about 1 minute from TN. Everything you want to see in the area, especially Chattanooga is about 15 minutes away.

The CG is on the flight path of the airport but little traffic and did not bother anyone. There is also a drag strip some distance away. The noise level was low and never heard inside. Outside it only made our dog curious as to what the noise was.

Many of my neighbors had been there before and when we are again in the area we will stay there. It was quiet with no disturbances and we had friendly neighbors during our stay. We camped at Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga in a Fifth Wheel.

So much to do and see in the area! We stayed busy 7 days and did not see all we wanted. Lots of history in the area, especially about the War of Northern Aggression. We ate either breakfast or lunch ~~ a couple times both~~ as there are so many great restaurants.

Frisco Woods Campground, Frisco, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Out of season and there were few campers. During summer that will change. We really enjoyed our stay. Frisco Woods is on the Sound side, not the Atlantic side. We backed in and had the waters of Pamlico Sound 15' from our back window. My wife enjoyed watching the wind surfers. Frisco is on the non-glitzy tourist trap side of the OBX ~ quieter. We enjoyed our week here and will be back. Plenty of tv channels available but WFI was poor unless near the office. We camped at Frisco Woods Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
